I don't trust God

Why would god answer my prayers and want what’s good for me when there are people who are far worse off in the world suffering . My logic is if god doesn’t help them , why would he help me? That’s pretty narcissistic of me to think that I’m so special that god will say yes to what I ask when there are people starving to death. I don’t understand why I should even care about Gods way of life, why not live like a pagan. At least they have instant gratification and they aren’t waiting to be POTENTIALLY saved. For example, why wait till marriage to have sex if god doesn’t promise us a spouse or even a good marriage? Why not just live in the now?

You assume that God is not helping people. The greatest help is grace which is the answer to every prayer.

I think it takes a sincere and humble heart to appreciate what God does for us not to mention that suffering is often useful and most people are bad at praying and also pray for material things.

Because if you gorge yourself on the hotdogs of this life, you won’t have room for the filet minion of Heaven.
 
God is love.
God loves everybody, believe it or not.
Nothing you can do can change that.

Now…you…sinning…grievously…against your very soul…
by purposely doing the wrong things…hoping it’ll be rewarding…
Well, many have gone that sad route -
Wide and broad is that path
Where does it lead ?
Destruction.
 
Because the people that are starving to death are praying for somebody to help them because they dont have what it takes to remove themselves from that position, they can chance it but they wont make it that far and they stay where they are hoping for somebody to help them. That why God uses You who have the knowledge and skills to help them who dont so they can help themselves and others
 
What are you praying for? To help the starving, the suffering? That is a good prayer.

But don’t you know that the suffering will have their own rewards? That God is perfectly just? Then why do you worry like this?
 
I pray that God relieve my suffering so I can open my heart to others. But my prayers Get answered no.

I don’t think suffering is that useful. Next time your in the face of tragedy try to think of that . I think peace of heart is more useful
 
Suffering gives us a chance to prove love for God and gain glory and merits for Heaven. Why would thinking that suffering isn’t useful or something help in a tradegy if anything it would seem to make things worse. Then again the most true tradigies are those of sin but humility and contrition can gain spiritual benefits.

Why does your suffering need to be relieved to open your heart to others? Christ’s Heart is open and inviting us despite His great suffering, even on the Cross itself.

I don’t know what is personally going on with you.

Suffering can be very the useful. Many a man (or woman) went through great personal growth as a result of a period of suffering – growth that would not have come about with the period of suffering.
 
Christ is an impossible standard. He is both God and man. In the face of pain and suffering my heart closes.

That’s honest, but it makes me sad to hear you say that.

Christ is indeed an extremely high standard – the highest, in fact. But He is not an impossible one, because He Himself is present to gradually guide you toward the standard that he sets. See? God asks a lot from us, so in that sense He is demanding; but at the same time He provides the completely reliable means that will allow you to work your way up to that standard, however slowly.
 
That’s sad that you don’t trust God. Pray more, for others not just yourself. Jesus suffered and died for us. When we go through suffering we should be reminded of Jesus…

You don’t know how God is working in people’s lives. You also don’t know their relationship with God.

I’m the biggest worry wart in the planet and it takes A LOT for just surrender and let him take the lead. The moment I did that, He moved the mountains I’ve been trying to climb for years for me.

Admittedly, there are still days when I worry - - I suppose that’s human nature. But I find comfort and solace and in telling Him, “Lord, I’m worried again” and He finds his way to comfort me.

Point of my post - - Trust in God.
 
Why would you think that we shouldn’t suffer? Suffering is a purification, a stripping away of the things that don’t matter.
 
Very difficult, yes. Impossible, no, for He Himself has reached it.

However, if He seems too far away, look at the merely human saints. Great examples to help us get to Christ they are.

I don’t know personal things about you, but I can say that which I have said in truth.
 
If you don’t trust God,any advice through this forum won’t help you to make you trust him.You are not alone.Crores of people are with you.
Jesus already said that God will reveal himself only to those whom he choose.One get the God’s grace ,to know more about him, freely.Only thing is that you should seek for that.God is hidden.He won’t force you to believe in him .Hewill reveal more and more about him to those who seek him and will remain more and more hidden from those who want to go away from him.
Pray God show his mercy on you.
