I’m the biggest worry wart in the planet and it takes A LOT for just surrender and let him take the lead. The moment I did that, He moved the mountains I’ve been trying to climb for years for me.
Wow, you’re lucky and blessed. I surrendered to Jesus and have received nothing. No mountains moved in my life, nothing moved at all including little ant hills. Now that I’m not making any lead decisions/actions as well, since I tell Jesus to do it, complete and utter nothing is happening in my life. Standstill of nothingness.

I guess I should trust God that he wants nothing for me.

Suffering gives us a chance to prove love for God and gain glory and merits for Heaven. Why would thinking that suffering isn’t useful or something help in a tradegy if anything it would seem to make things worse.
Then why doesn’t God give suffering to everyone? Some people have no trials/tribulations or sufferings that are NOT of their own making. Why? I think people who don’t suffer would not rather have a life of hardship and tragedy just to prove love for God. Maybe non-suffering is a blessing from God and should be embraced as well as the blessing of suffering from God. Both can be offered up as love for God.

Me, I’d like to offer up the blessing of non-suffering, because I’m human and don’t really like to suffer.

Lean NOT upon your own understanding ( proverbs ? )
but every word that cometh from God.

It can be very hard to grasp how mighty God is I agree. He is with everyone all the time.

I think part of the the problem is you are seeing all of life as this life…this tiny little speck of 70-80yrs as life…when in reality it is but a little blink of time in our life. In this tiny part of life we may suffer yes but we are never alone and when we suffer we are never closer to God. We live in God and He in us, so He being so mighty that we cannot even conceive of it, can help you whilst helping everyone. Help does not look like what you think it does. Help is not rich, healthy and happy, necessarily. It can be for some and for others it is poor, sick and lonely or destitute. What the body looks like on the outside is not what the soul looks like. In some instances God allows the flesh to be bound by illness and/or poverty so that the spirit may rise higher and the person is sustained by grace. This may look from the outside and even be great suffering but because of the grace it is in fact great inner peace and joy and salvation for that person and others all because of the grace of God. So we mere mortals cannot look at the suffering ones of the world and say that they are less than us, they may well be saving the souls of the world. Some of us may well be blessed enough to be part of them on occasion.
God answers prayers in His own way according to His will, so you worrying about Him answering your prayers and not theirs is not necessary cos His will will be done, so don’t worry ask away, He will do what is best for you always and for them. You cannot stop nor change that, even if you wanted too. He will help you because He loves you more than you could ever know and He knows you better than you could ever know. You are precious in His eyes. Yes you. God has a plan for you, listen out for it and wait because it will be worthwhile. Read the gospels they will answer your questions.

I don’t understand why I should even care about Gods way of life, why not live like a pagan. At least they have instant gratification and they aren’t waiting to be POTENTIALLY saved. For example, why wait till marriage to have sex if god doesn’t promise us a spouse or even a good marriage? Why not just live in the now?
Live like a pagan? Instant gratification? Premarital sex? Isn’t that basically the religion of the secular world we’re now currently living in? And umm…what has been the good fruits of that, if you don’t mind me asking?

God will be with you in your suffering if you will allow Him to be. Your suffering, my suffering, and everyone’s can bring us all closer to God. It really can. When He’s with us, our suffering is lightened. He will probably not remove my suffering, and maybe not yours, either, but our suffering is in God’s eyes necessary for us. We can’t understand it, but millions of human beings have drawn close to God through their suffering. You can, too. Just call on Him and ask Him to be with you IN your suffering. Trust that He hears you, and wait for His comfort, which is sure to come if you will only acknowledge your total dependence on Him.
