I feel ashamed to confess the same sin

Fr Mike gives a good case for why confessing the same sin over again is actually less disturbing than having a new set of sins to confess. This might make you feel more confident and then realise we all do the same things…Keep trying! God has endless mercy and loves you more than you know.
 
Praying to St Augustine that he intercede for you. Don’t be discouraged. Whenever you feel tempted, call out for St Michael the Archangel to help you.
 
Just went to confession
I just recently got a brown scapular and miraculous medal. I’ll try praying the rosary before going to bed because thats usually when temptation strikes. Thanks keep up the fight as well i’ll be praying for everyone here and ppl struggling with the same sin as well!
 
dont fall into a scruples trap, pornography and masturbation are two things that are issues that may never be overcome in ones life, it doesnt define ones self worth; all one can do is identify triggering situations, and avoid the triggers as best as possible. Going to reconciliation monthly is fine and normal and helps to fight off developing scruples or OCD from going every week, though there isn’t anything wrong going weekly, just one needs to be able to self evaluate ones self and understand what one has given concent to / or not and other mitigating factors that may or may not be out of ones control.

That’s the beauty of Reconciliation. Look at a crucifix and see the Lord’s arms stretched open to forgive us.
 
I disagree with you. I don’t think it’s a step in the right direction because real women aren’t to be objectified.
 
Better to go to Confession for the same sin, than to not go to Confession for the same sin.
