About my life and about the future… I am visually impaired and I am 39 years old and I’ve never even had a girlfriend before and I feel rejected and alone… and I don’t even know what my vocation in life is…

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Santa Teresa de Jesús
(Santa Teresa de Ávila)

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins my Mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of thy Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Prayers said for God to show you a direction in your life toward a vocation you can embrace.

Today’s rosary and Devotion to the Infant of Prague went out for all of the people and their petitions here on the Catholic Answers Board. That includes you.

May the Peace of the Risen Lord be upon you

BTW i’ve experienced similar issues in my own life, so feel free to PM me if you care to.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

I pray that you can “die to [self] & live
for righteousness” 1 Pet. 2:24
W/ Christ IN your life, Jaysdec,
you are NOT alone, you have Christ
as your Head and the Communion
of saints in this life!! See Heb. 12:1

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of Your Glory.
Hosanna in the highest, blessed is He
who comes in the Name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!!
Amen.

Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us,
(forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors)
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Jesus, I trust in You!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You!

Amen.

Dear Jaysdec

I’m sorry to hear you feel like that. I too have disabilities and am single. I’m not employed. But what I do is pray. Even with a visual impairment you can do that. Can you go to Mass more often, perhaps 4 times a week, or even daily? Can you do regular, even daily Eucharistic Adoration? Remember, if you have Jesus in your life you have EVERYTHING.

Maybe your vocation is to deepen your spiritual life? Try to focus on the blessings you have got and not on what you think you lack. Give thanks to God for these blessings.

Pray the Rosary. Adore the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. The Lord will lead you to what is right for you if you reach out to Him.

Pray, pray, pray. For the world. For peace. For everyone. Make prayer and spending time with the Lord your vocation for now. He will do the rest.

May God bless you.
