I feel like I did something wrong in God’s eyes. My brother came to me and told me he was down and I did something that I promised God I would never do again which is selling pain meds I don’t take, now he wants more to not be broke after paying bills.

Well, your conscience is correct. Selling pain pills on the black market is immoral. Go to Confession, and sin no more- God forgives you and wants you to be in union with Him.

Should I give him more or tell him finf ways to pay bills without depending on people?

Do not give him more. If you are able, try to aid him in legal ways, and if you can’t, your diocese most likely has ministries to assist him.

What happened is I gave him $900 but he wants to give me $500 for more.

No. Let it go. You are digging the hole deeper. Tell him no you will not do it again. Tell him with love you already know that. Good luck.

Not only is it wrong, it’s illegal. But you know that.

Just stop. And if you don’t need the meds anymore and you still have them, turn them in to the police, they often accept meds so they don’t end up on the street. Then tell your brother you don’t have any and stop rationalizing giving them to him.

The money he wanted to give me for more comes from the previous ones I gave him and he wanted to try and buy more but I told him I don’t want my own money.

You should tell him you are not getting him any more. You don’t need money earned from his illegal drug sales.
I don’t know how old your brother or you are, but he needs to get a job and live within his own means.

That wouldn’t make sense because I gave him nine hundred dollars worth and now he wants to give me five hundred back to buy more. I would have got suckered twice.

How are you getting suckered if you do nothing? He is not giving you money back for you, he is giving you money to get more drugs to sell.

I know what he’s doing but why accept money that came from me for more pills?

I won’t help him again because I realized what I done and he is going to just keep coming back.

You should not sell pain meds, because it ruins other people’s lives through addiction. Likewise, you should not give away pain meds, or allow someone to take them, or allow someone to use your prescription in order to get pain meds. Don’t help people in any way to get pain meds.

You need to throw away the pills you are not using. Brew some coffee, stick the pills in the used coffee grounds and throw them away, outside, in the trash. Preferably in a trashcan that is far from your residence. So you won’t be tempted to get them back. You could also talk to your pharmacist about your brothers issue. The pharmacist may have a way to get those pills off your hands.
Your brother is going to come back. If the pills are gone he cannot bribe or cajole you for more. He will probably be angry. Hold your ground. Inform him that you Love him enough to not participate anymore in his destructive decisions. As for the money, kiss it goodbye.

I don’t love my brother at all he used to do things when we were kids and blame me to get whipped, when we became adults my mom made him beat on me at her orders for money.
That’s why I had to move away now all of a sudden he goes to prison in 08 then he has a girlfriend where I currently live upon release in 11 here he comes,I told him that I felt bad for doing this because it’s wrong in God’s eyes and he will punish me.

Go to confession, pray, do not do it again. 😊
It also sadly seems like you should not have him around at all. I am sorry you had to go through that.
