I feel like I am being called to help with the church

I feel like that when or (if I) become Catholic that I should serve as a support towards the faith. specifically an evangelist, a fisher of men; a supporter to others. what should I do?
 
Sounds like a great plan. The world needs more good Christians bringing faith, hope, and love to others. What should you do? I don’t know the specifics, but I think most of us need to begin with ourselves, following the commandments, building our own faith, and strengthening our own relationship with God. Then reach out to those around you with love and respect. Let them see your faith, your lifestyle, and your love, joy, and peace. With your example, and God’s grace, they may come to desire faith and all of God’s gifts in their lives too.

I think Catholics are poor at discernment or the teaching of such. So, thats one thing. 😀

There was a similar question on one of the Catholic radio programs I listen to recently. Dr. David Anders’ response was to begin with calling a nursing home or senior’s hospital and ask what you can do as a volunteer. You can, if you wish, specify that you would prefer to remain within the community of Catholics in any such place. Read to them, pray the rosary with them, or just visit. This is as good a place as any to begin a lifetime of ministry. 🙂
