Hello all, I was just wondering something. Is it ok to do positions with my wife, for ex. doggy style? I wasn’t sure what the church teaching was on this?

As long as the penis is inside the vagina (and not other places) and so long as the man always ejaculates inside the vagina (and not other places) then whatever position you two find is enjoyable go for it. If your wife doesn’t like a position, then cross it off your list for now and ask later if she might be willing to try it again in a few months or so. If she still says no then leave it at that. Have fun experimenting!

Reminds me of the story about the fundamentalist preacher who was a guest on a call-in radio show. During the course of the show, he remarked that two of the most sinful things in the world were dancing and sex in unusual positions.
Someone called in and asked if it was OK to “do it” standing up?
The preacher said no, because it could lead to dancing.

The Catholic Church does not have a comprehensive list of approved positions. They sort of leave that up to us to figure out.

No she liked the position, I just didn’t know if there was anything against it. We will have a lot of fun experimenting though!
