Well, guess what, everybody. I finally got Confirmed, by Archbishop Burke today(October 15) at Saint Francis de Sales Oratory in Saint Louis, Missouri!

That place has FOUR side altars! One with a statue of the Blessed Mother, one with a statue of Saint Joseph,(I assume that’s who it is), one with a reproduction of the Pieta, and one with a reproduction of the icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

There were people coming from as far away as Massachusetts!(I am not from Massachusetts.)

At the beginning and end of the Mass, His Grace wore a Cappa Magna, which is a long train attached at the shoulders, and trailing behind and carried by a trainbearer. The Archbishop’s train was several feet longer than he is tall, but I have seen at least one recent picture of a Cardinal’s Cappa Magna, and it was maybe 20 or 25 feet long!

So I finally got Confirmed, complete with the cheek tap!:yup:

Good to see you went Latin.

And that you were confirmed by a very good Bishop in a Tridentine Latin Mass parish. 👍

I believe you also got to see a genuine Pontifical High Mass with the Archbishop wearing the gloves and stockings and sandals and other such ancient ceremonial vesture. Archbishop Burke does things right as also does the Institute of Christ the King. I presume there will be pictures on their website.

HIs Grace had on white slippers, I believe, and I assume that he had stockings. I’m not quite sure if His Grace used pontifical gloves,(I wasn’t always that close) but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, since Archbishop Burke has been known to wear them in the past.

At the meal afterward, His Grace even said the prayer for the meal in LATIN!

By “meal”, I am of course referring to the lunch afterwards, not the Eucharist!
