I am not sure I handled this correctly, but I think I did. I wrote some Bible verses explaining what the problem with this method of evangelisation is and that the only way to the fullness of the Gospel could be found in the Catholic Church. Now, I said that these verses are true (since they are) but that there is so much more to the Bible. On it, I wrote contact information to the closest Catholic Church, which may be good or bad, if bad comes from it, it was not my intent. I thanked the reader for their interest in the Gospel. There wasn’t a whole lot of room for me to write much else.

 Sorry, I’m confused.

.
The Roman Road is something that’s many Evangelical Protestant leave lying around in public places. I believe there to be theological errors in it so I corrected it but I was charitable do you understand? You list your religion as Deist so I do not blame you for being confused. A similar instance would be someone trying to explain Hinduism to me before I learned anything about it. I just thought it would be fair to give people like me Catholics a chance to explain our selves many evangelicals tend to be very anti Catholic not completely so I know many an evangelical that love Catholics so that is not always true

Hey adamhovey,

Do you realize that your story is not that far off from how Karl Keating started Catholic Answers many years ago? If I’m not mistaken, he found a tract on his car after Mass and then wrote up a response to it and mailed it back. (That’s a short summary of it). I don’t think you did anything wrong and I really don’t think anything bad will come of it. The people who use the Roman’s Road love Jesus. They probably won’t agree with what you said…but they aren’t going do anything bad because of that disagreement, I wouldn’t think.

Btw, I know that there is more than one road through Romans. I’ve seen more than one. I’ll show you it as soon as I find it. I’d like to know what you think.

God Bless.

Hey adamhovey,

So here’s another Road through Romans:

Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

We are all sinners. We have all done things that we should not have done.
But there is Good News…

Romans 2:6-8: “For He will render to every man according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life; but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury.”

Do you want to gain eternal life? You can! Seek for glory and honor and obey the truth!

Romans 2:13: “For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.”

Do you want to be found righteous before God? Do you want to be justified? You can! Just be a doer of the law!

Romans 6:3-4: “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

Do you want to be incorporated into Christ and have newness of life? You can! Be baptized!

Romans 8:16-17: “We are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.”

Do you want to be glorified with Christ? You can! Provided that you suffer with Him!

Go now!

Be baptized! Obey! Do good works! And suffer!!

Then you will have eternal life, be found righteous, have newness of life and be glorified with Christ!!

Amen.

What do you think? Not the popularized version like the one you heard…but just as valid right? Just a few scripture verses pulled together. Just as sound as any other Roman Road, right? I mean, not a popular Roman Road…but just as biblical?
