I think it is wonderful, and God belss the person who did it, Deb.
 
Sounds like someone was Paying it Forward.
Enjoy the gift, and someday find a way to Pay it Forward to someone else.
 
Wow, that is such a cool experience! I’d like to be able to do something like that for someone who really needs it. Do you think the church gives out that info, like if I ask to help someone out, do you think they’d tell me who and what I could do. I would just assume they have a list or something of people that have come to them for particular reasons, but not sure if they’d give that info out. I guess I could leave something at the church and then the church could give it to them:shrug:

You could call your church.

Personally, I don’t know how this individual decided to send a gift to me. I have never asked for help or complained about our finances to anyone.🤷

I am greatful that they did, of course.🙂 But surprised, also.
 
I think putting the note in the bulletin is a good idea. You could say thank you, and add that you are praying for the donor, that they may be blessed for the kindness they showed you.

P.S. Personally, I could use a new tail pipe for my car. (😉 Just in case anyone here is the donor, & just happens to be passing my house any time soon:whistle: ).
