I’ve been writing to abortionists asking them to stop killing babies and use their medical talents for something better. Today I received a response which said, in its entirety, “[expletive] you, [expletive].” I guess I hit a nerve.

Well, even though I am pro-life, many people who are pro-choice seem to be getting sick and tired of the Church. This is just what I’ve seen in pictures of protests and school and more. So, of course you hit a nerve, but I don’t think that was a good sign.

Ask them not to kill children all you want, they give no mercy. At this point, abortion is a right. 😦

Attacking the institution does nothing.

WAAAAAAAAYYYYY off base here!!! There is nothing wrong with contacting those who do evil and calling them on it. Just because the world considers it a “right” does not mean we should lay down and give up.

I never said give up. It starts with education and guidance to young girls like me. It starts with the parents’ support and love. It starts with logic, understanding, and reason… at this point, we’re obviously in the toilet, but we can get out. It just takes time and patience–something I hope everyone has the decency to possess.

Actually the number of abortion facilities in America has dropped by more than 50% in the last 20 years (from over 2,000 to about 750) and one of the reasons is that fewer and fewer doctors want to perform abortions because protests make their job stressful. So pressuring doctors not to kill babies does have a positive effect.

What is not taking action? What is quietly sitting by whie evil persists? Giving up.

i really like this idea and wouldnt mind taking it up. one question though, how’d you find the name/mailing address for the ‘doctor’?

I hope you didn’t leave a return address.

If these people are so morally bankrupt that killing children is not a big deal to them, I wouldn’t trust them.

And what did you say?
which part?

the implying they arent real doctors? thats because they arent daily they break their hippocratic oath. they are butchers not healers.

the asking how to do it? because it seems to me like a good stragety and id like to start. even if it doesnt change their minds, any extra strain or time consumption i put on them takes that much of their effort that now cant go to murder.

Keep up the good work! 👍 👍

Yes,to NOT have enemies in a secular world means that you are PC and thus not very Christian at that. Good for you…those childish curse words are like medals of honor…earned by the use of logic, prayer and love…check out the closing lines of Pilgrims Progress…’ my scars I leave with you …etc etc…" all the best…Nino

I found a list here:

lifedynamics.com/DeathCamps/DeathCamps.cfm

…and turned it into mailing labels. If anyone here is interested, feel free to PM me your email address and I will gladly email you a copy of the mailing labels (updated with a few corrections of bad addresses from the original list which got returned in the mail).

And what did you say?
“Abortionists: Are you really the kind of person who does this to a child? [photograph of abortion victim appeared here]. Your self-respect is worth more than a paycheck. Don’t kill for money. Use your medical talent for something better. Stop killing babies.”

That’s all. I made a point of keeping the letter free of anything “over the line” – no insults (abortionists don’t consider “abortionist” to be an insult), no abusive language, nothing other than a plea to quit killing babies and to do something better instead. I also made a point of including my return address (anonymous letters have an inherently threatening quality so I wanted to avoid that). There is a difference between pressure, which is good, and harassment, which is bad.

No, CWBetts was asking me what I said in the letter.

Yes, that’s the right idea. I don’t expect an abortionist to read the letter, shrug, and pack up his office. That isn’t the plan. The idea is to maintain the pressure. Nobody wants to endure public disapproval. Imagine if every day you went to work you received a letter telling you your job was a terrible thing. Who’d want to work under those conditions? That’s what abortionists should face at work, every day, day in, day out. Imagine if every abortionist received one letter per day telling them to “stop killing babies.” I can’t claim it’s cheap (writing all 750 abortion mills at 42 cents per stamp would cost $315 in postage), but suppose each pro-lifer wrote to, say, one abortion mill per month. The goal would be a cumulative effect.

ok my misunderstanding, and thanks for the link. as soon as finals get done i think i have a new hobby. though i just think i’ll pick one and let him get a weekly letter.

Nonviolence doesn’t mean nonaction. It means acting with love and compassion. Any response motivated by anger will only make the situation worse.

Writing letters IS nonviolence!!! You apparently think we should just ignore the evil in the world. That would be wrong. We should act, and act boldly. Speak the truth, and speak boldly. If your stance would have been taken in the past, segregation would still be in force today.

Trying to save the soul of an abortionist from almost certain condemnation is acting with love & compassion. Writing letters is a very non-violent, non-angry way of reaching someone.
