Trying to save the soul of an abortionist from almost certain condemnation is acting with love & compassion. Writing letters is a very non-violent, non-angry way of reaching someone.
Yes, but it’s all about wording. You really think the term “killing babies” is nonviolent? It is still in an angry context and is used to verbally attack the abortionist-- or whatever they call them.

Anger in and of itself is not sin.

Actually the number of abortion facilities in America has dropped by more than 50% in the last 20 years (from over 2,000 to about 750) and one of the reasons is that fewer and fewer doctors want to perform abortions because protests make their job stressful. So pressuring doctors not to kill babies does have a positive effect.
Not only that but I have also read that other doctors and hospitals have very little respect for abortionists and treat them as second rate doctors.

Blade if you ever get a chance to participate in a rosary protest…I forget what the exact term is but it is where people go in front of the abortion clinic and just keep walking and saying the rosary out loud usually draws quite a decent crowd. Those who promote abortion become verbally abusive in this instance as well. There is no sugar coating what abortion is. You’re not talking to a bunch of old people who have not been touched by abortion or who have not been in that position where we had to go through the agony of deciding to get an abortion or not. Once I knew that I was going to do was “killing my baby”…I decided to not to kill my baby. I was so confused, terrified and felt so alone and felt so much pressure to abort my babies…to know the truth was a relief but it still took every ounce of courage that I had in me to tell those around me that I was keeping my children and I even had some walk away from me for my decision. Killing babies…it is what it is…however abortionists prefer to call it a “procedure”.

Actually the word “killing” is pretty detached and clinical. I didn’t say something stronger such as “beheading” or “butchering.” “Killing” is pretty tame and matter-of-fact. Even abortionists admit that abortion constitutes killing, they just don’t admit that what they are killing constitutes a human being.

Not only that but I have also read that other doctors and hospitals have very little respect for abortionists and treat them as second rate doctors.
The book “Access” by Mark Crutcher contains an abortionist’s quote that abortionists are the only medical professionals whom the medical community looks down upon more than the doctors who do insurance company physicals.

Even doctors who think abortion should be legal still don’t want to be associated with it. Nobody enters medical school with the goal of becoming an abortionist; rather, doctors become abortionists by default. A lot of abortionists are doctors who had trouble getting other medical work.

I’ve been writing to abortionists asking them to stop killing babies and use their medical talents for something better. Today I received a response which said, in its entirety, “[expletive] you, [expletive].” I guess I hit a nerve.
Well, at least they showed their true colors.

Shame on you, Blade and Blood, for your moral cowardice. Wasn´t Our Lord using “violent” language when he called the pharisees a brood of vipers? Do you think they liked that? If Our Lord was all-loving and yet chose to speak in this way to those he considered guilty of perpetrating evil, it´s because He realized that no other type of language would help them to admit their sin.

Sometimes we have to be diplomatic and at other times we just have to speak the truth as plain as possible. The truth hurts, especially when you tell someone they are no better than a murderer. It´s the simple truth and it needs to be said, for the abortionist´s sake. It may be the only way he/she will repent and be saved.

Wrath is.
How is calling sin what is wrath? I think the time is passed for lily-livered, yellow-bellied capitulation to the world. The time has come for proclaiming the truth and proclaiming it boldly. The time has come to proclaim Jesus, not only in our churches and homes, but at our schools, places of employment, and on the streets. Jesus offended people, enough that he was killed. Many saints have been martyred. Was their sacrifice in vain? Did they sacrifice so we could die off with barely a whimper? No! We must stand and fight for what is right! We must stand and fight for what is just! Christianity has a responsiblilty, and those responsibilities are coming due, and must not be forsaken.

I never said give up. It starts with education and guidance to young girls like me. It starts with the parents’ support and love. It starts with logic, understanding, and reason… at this point, we’re obviously in the toilet, but we can get out. It just takes time and patience–something I hope everyone has the decency to possess.
Well, yes, but that way also leads to a kind of marginalization.
Never underestimate the forces arrayed against you. They won’t hesitate. if they see the need, to take your children away from you, or use the schools, for instance, to alienate them from you. The abortionist crowd have a totalitarian spirit.

But there’s nothing wrathful in telling an abortionist, “Stop killing babies.” That’s what we’re supposed to do.
It’s the wording that readily brings forth a form of anger. At this point, wrath is present on both sides, and it shames me to call myself a Catholic, knowing that I am a part of this group who use petty comments and demands with little to no reason for a quick fix. :tsktsk:

I know time is running out for a precious many unborn children, but it is impossible to change things overnight. That is most I can say because an explanation would be futile.

Again, you endorse laying down and doing nothing. Are you the type that would have just let the SS cart of Jews, all because “nothing could be done overnight”? Would you have turned in runaway slaves because “we cant fight the institution”? How hav you lived this long without a backbone?

I don’t follow. Suppose someone stood before you holding a gun to a newborn’s head. Would it be “angry” for you to say, “Don’t kill that baby?” How is that “angry?” This is no different. I am asking the abortionist to “stop killing babies.” How is that “angry?” What would you say instead?

Your position would be more applicable if the letter said things like “You stink” or “You’re going to hell” or something like that. That would be “angry.” Nothing like that is in my letter. It’s a simple statement, “Stop killing babies.” It isn’t angry.
