A Thiarna déan trócaire.
A Chríost déan trócaire.
A Thiarna déan trócaire.

Any guesses?

Would that be the obscure little prayer that in Greek goes ‘Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison’ 😛

aka ‘Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy’ 🙂

Happy St Paddy’s day to you!

Celtic, perhaps??

Lily,

Ah, I wish I had a prize to award; you win!

At our parish we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Mass yesterday and today. Yesterday, at the so-called Parade Mass there was Cardinal George, eight priests and a deacon. The readings were done by Brian Cowen, TD, Ireland’s Minister of Finance.

What a great way to celebrate the life and influence of the Patron Saint of Irealnd and our parish’s patron.

Slan,

John

PS: That was the Kyrie in Irish. It’s funny, I have to go to downtown Chicago to hear Irish in the Mass. But, true enough, when I went to Mass in Ireland it was never in the Gaeltacht.
