First, my 9yr old daughter is experiencing quite a bit of stress returning to school. She lacking in self-confidence, despite the fact the she is in fact smart and quick to leaarn when she puts her mind to it.

The other is for myself. I seem to be stuck at the cross roads of fully embracing Catholicism and just walking away. I’m stuck because I know better to then to just walk away, yet there is this wall of worldliness between me and the right road. I need help breaking through.

My prayers!

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy."

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee do I come, before thee I kneel, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy
hear and answer them. Amen.
- St. Bernard of Clairvaux

Lord I pray for jjordan and his/her daughter. Help jjordan to choose you above all else and stick to this decision. If any friend or association is holding him/her back, may he/she change the friendship or even end it. Let nothing separate jjordan from you and a life lived for you. Help jjordan’s daughter to meet nice and good friends who will help her enjoy school and achieve her goals. Keep jjordan and his/her daughter faithful to a life lived in service of love (you) and may they never be separated from you. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

God grant that this mother will be able to explore, and help set in place, practical means to help her daughter overcome these issues, and especially by encouraging her to a caring attitude towards others that will make her reach out to others rather than being preoccupied and isolated within her own self. By reaching out to others, our God, she will learn to genuinely appreciate what is worthwhile in others, and enjoy relationships with them.

Our God, please help this mother also to grow in loving You above all and others as self, so that she isn’t “embroiled” in worldliness, but sees the world and the occupations with it as lived in Your love and grace.

Our God, You showed to us the value of ordinary daily life and activities, lived well, in in concern for others, by sending Your divine son to live 30 years of ordinary life, of daily life lived in this world, but lived in love of God and neighbour, even before He began the mission for which He came, the salvation of souls…the salvation, too, of this woman’s soul. Please open her eyes and heart to live in the example that You, Jesus, and Your holy Mother lived.

Hi jjordan, my daughter when she was 10 was exactly the same,so i continually reassured her and told her that i knew that she was a smart girl. I t payed off, over the years she did really well at her exams. She is now a lovely modest confident 20 year old.She is taking a gap year from study and works part time in the same store as myself and colleagues are always commenting on what a lovely confident and caring girl she is.I do the same with my other kids. So keep reassuring her and let her know that you believe in her and she will turn out just fine.

As for yourself you say you are being pulled between worldliness and Catholicism, The fact that you are asking for help makes me think you know in you’re heart that you cannot turn you’re back on the Catholic Church. It is not an easy road to travel living you’re faith and at times is a struggle especially when you see others who have little or no faith living and doing things in their lives without a care in the world or a thought for what comes after.
Pray to God to lead you to the right road and i will also keep both you and you’re daughter in my prayers, also get some good books this really helped me to learn and understand my faith better. God bless

Join the World ! I have no intention of walking away from my Faith but the world, distractions, — whatever - do make the wall high, and I don’t try hard enough.
Just keep trying. God’s holding out His Hand for you to climb up and over that wall.
He loves you.
