Guys, great news! I have a job interview tomorrow!!! I just sent another resume this morning when I found an opening for a preschool who is looking for an infant room teacher and I just got a call a little while ago asking if I would come in tomorrow at 10am!!! I am so excited!!! This is my very first interview after losing my job in July, so I could really use the work and the money, plus it is something I would enjoy doing as I love babies. Please pray for me!!!

Also, I need to renew my CPR/First Aid certification as it expired in August, so please pray that I can get into a class soon. I’m looking at American Red Cross’ website to see when the next one is. 🙂

Thank you so much! I am so excited! I looked at the daycare website and they look fabulous. Also, the advertisement says they want someone who is able to start immediately, so that is awesome! I really need the money so I can pay my bills and take care of my car repairs. Also, I really want to go back to school. I really hope I get the job.

Also–if you could please pray that I am able to get the 26th off, I’d appreciate it! I have a really important doctor’s appointment that I cannot cancel because I need to get my anti-depressant medicine refilled. I hope they give me that day off.
 
Lord, thank you for giving DaughterofMary this job offer. May she do well on her interview and get the job. May she be able to get the 26th off so she can get a refill of her medicine.

Ok, guys! Please storm heaven for me! I am getting a little nervous so I decided to take half a tranquilizer, which, fortunately, doesn’t make me drowsy. I set my alarm for 8am (three alarm clocks, actually 😉 ) and I woke up at 7:57am! You think God wants me to get to the interview in time? LOL!

Wow, I’ve got butterflies in my stomach! 😊

May God bless you and keep you in whatever you need at this time. I know exactly what you are going through. I have been praying for a descent full time job and I start one tomorrow that is temporary, but I have a lot of hope it will last until I finish my degree next summer. I asked God to give me the ability to trust in His will and what is best for me as a mother, wife, and individual. He responded!

Thank you all for your prayers. I went to the interview, but was not offered the job on site. She asked to do a background check on me and reference checks, including a daycare I worked at before that I really don’t have a good rapport with. I’m not so sure that I’m going to get the job. I didn’t get any positive feelings from the interview, just neutral, like it could go either way. The place is very nice though, but it seems that they are interviewing me not only for the infant position, but for the other positions they have open as well, which are afternoon part-time attendant and Toddler teacher, neither of which I am interested in. I don’t work well with older children or toddlers, so I may have to turn it down if I get either of those positions.

Please pray that I’m able to get the Infant Room Teacher position I applied for. I should hear something by the end of this week. 😉
 
I will certainly pray for you DaughterOfMary6 ! I’ve just been informed that I have been hired after 7 weeks of unemployment, and so I will certainly pray you to find success in your interview !

Thank you all! I still have no news as of yet, but I trying my best to remain in neutral–not getting my hopes up and not becoming discouraged. I put it in God’s hands and I’m not going to fret about it. I am still submitting applications and resumes to other jobs just in case. 🙂
 
Don’t worry about the past job with poor rapport. I don’t know where you live but in
the US it is actually illegal for a previous employer to speak ill of a previous employee.
As far as the neutral tone of the interview - that is to be expected. The potential
employer wants to interview every applicant, review all resumes, and run background
checks on all applicants. They must determine any possible criminal records,
especially child abuse or sex offender. I will be moving soon into a senior apartment
complex building. They are running a background check on me for the same reason.
Myself, my favorite age group is twoes. When I taught Sunday school that was always
my first choice. The only pre-requisite was being potty-trained. At that age they are
like loveable puppies. I will continue to pray for you. God bless you.
 
Well, I didn’t hear anything today either. I’m not upset, though. I’m not sure I would completely enjoy working there, to be honest. There was nothing terribly wrong about the place, but I felt a little out of sorts while I was waiting for the interview to begin. Also, I kept stumbling over my answers in the interview even though I knew exactly what I wanted to say. I usually never have trouble at interviews. I couldn’t express my point right.

I am continuing to look for other positions. 🙂
