That is correct. She should repeat verbatim. If she is unable or unwilling to repeat verbatim for whatever reason she may or may not give, - You may want to indicate to her that the spirit she is speaking with is not of God. This is real. I’ve had mormons and jehovah witnesses (especially JW’s) pack up and leave my porch or living room without saying another word.
Obviously you don’t want her to leave, so you explain to her about the cultic character of mormonism. If she denies what you are saying, return to Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, and her reluctance to say or accept its implications. Remind her of the True and Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Bring her back. Don’t allow her to take the lead, indicate to her that , “the point is moot…I’m catholic 'till death”.

Hi everyone. The Mormon lady came over today. The only time religion was really brought up was when she told me how the Mormon church had helped her. I replied by telling her how the Catholic Church has helped me. She did not push her religion on me.

Maybe you could print out some articles from there, to share?? That way, you could let someone with more experience in apologetics do the “talking”…Mind you, you might not want to read it, but there are some really good things over there, that you could hand her, & only pennies a sheet to print is betetr than buying a book you can’t afford!!
I, personally, invite Mormon missionaries in & talk with them (because I know they aren’t going to “catch” me…and I am happy to “waste their time” trying). On the other hand, I have quit talking with JWs who make me so
angry that I know I will lose my charity with them…I think we all have to decide for ourselves what we can & can’t do in this field…My best friend is a very devout Baptist, & she talks to all of the groups that go door to door…She is the one who taught me the
“waste their time that they might use to
get somebody else” thing. She isn’t “convertable”–you know??But I would suggest printing out some material for this lady. Even if she tosses it, someone else might see it, & be warned off.
Just don’t do anything that might, you feel, confuse you about your own (fairly new–
Congratulations!!) faith in Christ.

Yes. And that’s where I have come to the conclusion that they are doing exactly the opposit of Jesus Himself. They are “grasping at Godhood.”I don’t know if there is a tactfull way, or if it is even wise, to to say this to your new friend, but aren’t Mormon men the one’s who think they will be Gods (literally)?

Part of me hesitates pointing out Mormon doctrine, in case I’m wrong, but it reminds me of our first parent’s pride.
Gen 3:5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
As opposed to Jesus example of humility for us.
Phil 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Mormons believe that male Mormons can become “gods” but only if they are faithful to the Mormon religion and marry a Mormon wife in the temple. They have to make it to the “Celestial Kingdom” in order to become a “god”. If she just wants to argue, find a phrase and use it over and over, “I don’t want to discuss it; I’m happy being Catholic.” Don’t say anything but that. She’ll stop eventually.

She seems like she wants to discuss it sometimes. She tried to convince me to read the entire Book of Mormon but I refused. I do not want to read any anti-Catholic material. That was my reason although I did not give her my reason. The missionaries thought I was nuts for not wanting to read it. They was like “How will you know what is true if you don’t even read it?” and I was thinking to myself “I already know what is true.”
