Please pray for me so that I may be more diligent in my prayer life, and in my current state in life as a student.

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

You and me both, brother. St. Benedict, St. Gregory the Great, pray for us. St. Mary Magdalene, St. Dominic Savio, Bl. Chiara, pray for us! St. John Bosco, St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

This is a common problem. Part of growing in our faith is recognizing our weak areas. Then asking why we are weak…what triggers this…what has helped in the past. Sometimes it can be a spiritual battle(the evil one does work to wear us down), other times simply an act of WILL in faith and trust(our choices) I personally get lazy when I’m not excercising regularly…we’re all different. I will pray for you!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon johnnyt3000 in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.

Praying for you. I’m a student too and know how hard it can be at times.

One way to make it easier to pray is to make your whole life a prayer no matter what you are doing in keeping with your responsibilities and life style. St Theresa, the Little Flower did just that, even with the very little insignificant things. Music can be a prayer when offered to God, as well as wholesome pleasures. To see God in everything, is contemplation. It is not always hard work, which is offered too. Mental work can be very taxing, so take advantage of recreation to ease some of the tension. Good physical exercise is good mental hygiene, and so is good rest. Some were born with a “laid -back” disposition, and if we are, we must exercise a bit of tolerance with ourselves until we conquer ourselves if this is giving us a problem. I know, I have a son who really needs help in this regard, and Satan knows how to take advantage of this weakness. So I am praying for this because it extends deeply into his spiritual state. I don’t think that this is your problem. Human nature always tends to follow the path of least resistance. You show an awareness of this, which is good, it keeps you on your toes. Pray, and I’ll pray for you also

Prayer for Sloth and Lukewarmness

O my God, I know well that so negligent a life as mine cannot please Thee. I know that by my lukewarmness I have closed the door to the graces which Thou dost desire to bestow on me. O my God, do not reject me, as I deserve, but continue to be merciful toward me, and I will make great efforts to amend and to arise from this miserable state. In the future, I will be more careful to overcome my passions and to follow Your inspirations; and never through slothfulness will I omit my duties, but will strive to fulfill them with greater diligence and fidelity. In short, I will from this time forward do all I can to please Thee, and will neglect nothing which I know to be pleasing to Thee.

Since Thou, O my Jesus, hast been so liberal with Thy graces toward me and have deigned to give Thy Blood and Thy Life for me, I am sorry for having acted with so little generosity toward Thee, Who are worthy of all honor and all love. But, O my Jesus, Thou knowest my weakness. Help me with Your powerful grace; in Thee I confide. O Immaculate Virgin Mary, help me to overcome myself and to become a saint. Amen.
