This is inaccurate. The Church says that its official teachings are inerrant, not the actions of its individual members.
And also, Pope J. Paul II DID apologize for the whole Church for the mistakes of her members thorughout history…
When Mary appears in her apparitions, she tells us that many people go to Hell… Frankly i believe that those who do evil in the name of Christ get the lowest part of Hell… just my opinion…
In any case, we can trust that God’s justice is absolutely perfect…
And we should always pray for those who have not repented.
