Nechasin - It’s usually not until 10 or 11, sometimes 12 weeks that you can hear the heartbeat. If you’re having an ultrasound you should be able to see it though.

We were sitting around the other day, and the kids started talking about where they were when they found out we were going to have #6. They all remember exactly how the news was broken to them. I had no idea how special that was for them. (Now, #6 is 8 months old, and they all enjoy her sooooo much.)

Thank you DH & I are the only ones who know IRL. The children will be excited & we usu don’t wait to tell people, but my brother and sister-I-L are having marital problems & a big part of it is that she wants a baby & he doesn’t. I know it will break her heart to hear the news. I’m not ready for that yet. My kids are all young, so they don’t “get” pregnancy = 9 months anyway. My oldest is 6.

Little Way - Oh I know just how you feel! I have one brother and always wished I had a sister . . . I still do It’s part of what made me so luvin’ livin’ large!

Wow, you are going to have to give some of us newer moms some pointers… I am working to figure out dealing with my 3rd with my oldest a couple months shy of 3. Six with the oldest around 6 must take a lot of organization etc… Awesome! Seriously, I don’t want to derail your thread but if you have any advice please post!!!

No, I’m not organized at all. I struggle all the time. It is so hard to be as selfless as a mother needs to be. The things that carry me through are frequent confession & the comfort and consolation of knowing that God knows best. He knows my struggles, my pains & my spiritual deserts and He will carry me through.

We will be having a ultrasound. I don’t know how you can handle 5 under 6 yrs old. I only have 3 and we are run ragged.

I’m glad I can tell people here, because it would kill me not to be able to share. My dw and I are so exicted to be having another little baby.

WONDERFUL!!! I came here first to tell my little secret about #5 due in July because i knew i would get all this great support and excitement that is sometimes hard to find in the non catholic “open to life” community.

Keep your excitement up especially if you recieve any negative comments, a big smile and cheerful, “Yes, we are so excited!” usually shuts them up!
