O St.Peregrine ,

you who have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder -Worker” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you,
who for so many years bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to The Source of All Grace, when the power of man could do no more : you who were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction, Ask of God

O God, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
