Well yes i been reading some verses where it says we should give to the poor even it mentions it could be jesus asking us that s all true but there s always but

Here comes the problem there s people whu really are poor whu ask on street and people whu fake it alot in my country at least that s big problem and i want to ask whould you give to someone whu want to drink alchol or to waste it

the problem is this what do you think how can someone be shure here whu s whu and what and how can we act on this matter?

And yes i know what bible say when you give to the poor we should not sound trumpet but this is another story where i want to learn things since i never understanded my faith that good so i have to learn somehow right

For example i was taugh that there can be people whu can row across you since i am not so smart i whould aprishiate if you could teach me

Find a local charity that has a good reputation and give to them. They will give out food and assistance to those who need it so you don’t have to be burdened with trying to determine whether the recipient is faking it or truly poor.

Very interesting idea sorry for late reply i was sleeping plus i whould ask also how do people find charity etc? like do you mean trough phone or find outside?

I’m sure people in your parish can point you in the right direction. Your parish priest is certain to have suggestions as well.

in USA there are usually charities associated with the local Catholic Church, and some of them even seek help through the church bulletin. Many of them provide food or clothing to families who need help, pregnant women or new mothers, or homeless people. The diocese also usually has charities for which it will hold collections throughout the year. In USA, these charities are often advertised in the bulletin because the church will hold a collection at Sunday Mass to collect money for them, or you can sometimes donate money or goods (like right now they’re collecting baby formula, in December they were collecting food for Christmas dinners).

If your church doesn’t have these collections to which you can give, and doesn’t advertise charities in the bulletin or on the church bulletin board, ask your priest to recommend some charities.

Giving to one of these charities is much more reliable and safer than giving to people you meet on the street, who are sometimes dangerous or are running a scam or using money for drugs/ alcohol, etc.

If you prefer to donate online, you can also give to Papal-approved charity collections on the Missio.org website. Or give to the missions like Aid to the Church in Need or CNEWA. org .

My parish has something called the “Samaritan Fund” that helps with foodstuffs, and other items like toiletries and some clothing. There are two soup kitchens operated by other parishes and a health clinic and a place(their names escape me) that has clothing. Catholic Charities operates a food pantry here.

I generally do not give to beggars.
