Thank you all for your support. I need it I just heard from the seminary and all is good there. Just a little more paperwork and then dinner with the bishop and seminarians next week and off to seminary. Things so far have been good. Thanks for all the support. It does help. God bless you all Scoob.
You will be in my prayers. Write back every now and then.

God bless you.

Congratulations on your acceptance. Many church daily missals have many extra prayers toward the back of the readings and just before the hymns. There’s a couple on vocations that are worth reciting in this time of crises that God fearing people find ourselves living in.

If things aren’t scary enough Bill Clinton and Tony Blair are out stumping for a one world government.

Hello everyone!! Today I received the letter from the Bishop formally accepting me to his Diocese. I am so grateful!!! Scoob.

Congratulations Scooby!!! This is wonderful, incredible and uplifting news!!!

I’m gonna be praying for you all the way. And some day, hopefully, we’ll have a Father Scooby-Doo in our midst. Wouldn’t that be something???

I’m delighted for you.
And thank you for your willingness to respond generously to God’s great grace.

That’s great and congratulations.😃 You’re in my prayers and I’ll also be praying for all who feel called that they persevere through trying times.

Congratulations! All I can say is WOW. I would be speechless if I were you. And I get speechless just by imagining the happiness you must feel in your life. May God bless you on your way, and may you be a living example of Christ!

Maybe you can change agnostics/atheists into believers 😉

Good luck!
The only way an athiest or agnostic can be changed into a beleiver is by the Holy Ghost. The only thing a man can do is to show an athiest that God exists is by example. But the Holy Ghost must work through that person. and if that athiest or agnostic will allow his heart to be open to the Holy Ghost, then there is hope. The only thing I can do by the grace of God is to be a living example a whitness to Christ. That I will beg God to help me with. There is hope a great hope and he is Jesus Christ. May God Bless you Scoob.

Congratulations! Praise the Lord!

May you persevere in your faith and pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St John Vianney for your spiritual growth. May you lead souls to Christ and to eternal life in Heaven!

Sincerely,
Audrey

I have been accepted to my diocese to start seminary in August. All the seminarians will have Mass and dinner with the bishop and that will be next week nervous after 4 years I have found the right diocese I know it is going to be a lot of hard work and formation and this is the begining. I am publically very sorry for the pain I caused a few folks on here and I want to thank you for your very appreciated and cherished forgiveness. I was very wrong.
I have been accepted by my diocese. I have been in tears of joy ever since and I thank all of you for pateince and long suffering with my negative time on here and praying for me at trying times. Friday before last was a very dark day in my life and now the reverse. I need all the prayers from you that I will please our loving Lord of lords Jesus Christ and his Bride. God bless Scoob.
Congatulations, this is wonderful. 😃

I will be going to Sacred Heart School of Theology. A seminary geared towards second career vocations. Wonderful place. I am excited but scared at the same time. I thankyou so much for the replies. I haven’t been able to get on CAF as storms all day and have satelte service. Thanks God Bless Scoob.
Quite the normal run of human nature, Scoob, to have jitters with excitement about some new venture. And this is certainly a wondrous life changing event for you and a gift to us and The Universal Church. Praise to The Lord and thank you very much for responding to His Grace of priestly vocation. May Our Lady every pray for you and guide and guard, inform, your formation for the Love of her Son.

I just returned home from the seminarian dinner with the Bishop. It was wonderful. Mass with the Bishop. First time I received the Eucharist from a bishop and it was a beautiful Mass. The Bishop was so warm down to Earth and just like him so much. He lights up the room and when he first walked down the hall in the chancery you could feel the love. I still can’t beleive that I am accepted. But God is in charge and let’s hope I make it through the process and become ordained. I hope the Bishop will still be the bishop of the diocese at my ordination, (thats if I make it!! ) Next is the float trip Sunday through tuesday. Can’t wait. The priest that is in charge of the seminarians played guitar for the Mass. Great guitar player and singer. Wish I could have played banjo with him. Anyways all the paperwork is finaly done physical and all the last loose ends. I am scared but excited at the same time!! Thanks for all your prayers and keep them coming. I am so grateful and again thanks CAF for the second chance. You don’t know how much that means to me. God Bless you all Scoob.

God bless you for answering the call.

I will keep you (and the many others) who have said “Yes.” in my Prayers.

Servant of God Frank J. Parater

Loving Father, Your servant, Frank Parater, sought perfection as a student, scout, and seminarian. He offered himself to You completely through the Sacred Heart of Your beloved Son, Jesus. Through the intercession of Frank Parater, may young people answer Your call to follow Jesus as priests and religious. Grant the favors I seek, so that Your Church may recognize his holiness and proclaim him Blessed. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Imprimatur: +Walter F. Sullivan, Bishop of Richmond (February 7, 2002)
