First, Nick, God bless you for your service to your country and to humanity.

Try not be too discouraged over some of the propaganda you read or hear in today’s media. There are two things of which I have no doubt, the first is that you are looking out for innocent people, and the second is that your enemies are evil people who want to harm innocent people even children. Basically, be assured that you are on the side of the angels in this struggle.

As to your faith, while I cannot know what you are feeling, but I do know that your inner struggles indicate that God is still working in your life. If you had lost your faith beyond hope, you would not be struggling. God wants to restore your faith, so he is wrestling with you and trying to draw you close. The best advice I can offer you is to talk to God daily through prayer, and listen to God daily by reading your Bible.

If there is anything I can do for you, please PM me. I’ll send you anything–Bibles, CDs, sermons, books–I can. Just name it. Or if you just need someone to talk to. My wife and I will keep your in our daily prayers.

God bless you.

NICK!👍

There was a time, not far away, when I thought I had lost my faith too. I continued to go to Mass and to Confession and I prayed a lot, asked for God’s Grace to believe. Slowly, slowly I got rewarded.

Don’t give in, but use the recourses you have in the circumstances you are living …

Brother the fact that you were able to write shows that in some little way you have access to the internet.
You have done right by writing and seeking help, and the response you have received must give some little hope to you I hope, be strengthend brother. Your receiving our response shows that we are praying for you and we all wish God’s love to be with you.
When you rise in the morning in that torrid place.
When you walk that open road
When you shelter behind a broken wall before you move on, when you retire bodily as the twilight comes to your weary body I guess we could never really know the thoughts on your mind but in a little way we can respond to your request now.

These are the times we hope and wish that God will bless you strengthen you be beside you and your guardian angel will wisper into your mind where to step, let it guide you to Jesus, let Jesus smile on you and let the sun that shines down on you always be overshadowed by the brightness of the light of the SON of God.

God bless you friend

Dear Nick, thank you for your service to our country.

Here’s a special prayer for you.

Prayer to St. Joseph

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss his fine head for me and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls-pray for me".

This prayer was found in the fiftieth year of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1505 it was sent from the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle. Whoever shall read this prayer or hear it or keep it about themselves, shall never die a sudden death, or be drowned, nor shall poison take effect on them; neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy, or shall be burned in any fire or shall be overpowered in battle.

Say this for 9 mornings for anything you may desire. It has never been known to fail.

Pass the prayer to your buddies as well!

Here is also the inspiring story of retired Marine Col. John W. Ripley, a devout Catholic, and a hero of the Vietnam era whose most famous military achievement was the destruction of an important bridge at Dong Ha in northern South Vietnam.

May God bless you and keep you safe! :gopray2:
