Thank you, rainbow.

She’s still doing well, but the PET scan didn’t give us an answer as to what the lesion is on her lung, so they want to remove it on March 12th and do a biopsy. It could still be benign and unrelated to the melanoma; or not.

It’s so hard not knowing. I am trying very hard to offer it up to the Lord, but I don’t feel I’m doing a very good job.
Denise
I will praying for you and Mom today at mass. I know what you are going through seems like that day never gets here. But I am praying that everything with mom is ok.

O merciful Lord please hear our prayers

Thank you!

Things are ok. I’m trying not to think too far ahead and just trust in the Lord. I know that’s what I have to do, but my mind sometimes gets the better of me.

I really appreciate the prayers! God Bless you all!!

((HUGS))

You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers Denise God bless

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Thank you for thinking of us. She is doing quite well. She went to a Bar Mitzvah today!

I had an ok day. This all still weighs heavily on my mind and my heart, but I’m trying to cope and trust in God. I doubt sometimes. I’ve had people tell me that even the most faithful have moments like this where they question things. I sometimes feel that because I have moments of doubt that my prayers have no meaning and that scares me.

Thank you for the continued prayers.

I saw this a few days ago on the Legion of Mary website and it struck a cord with me:

"Whatever form our prayers take we should think of them not as overcoming God’s reluctance, but tapping God’s willingness. His help is always available-if only we ask for it.
No one has ever yet said a real prayer and not received an answer from God. It is not even necessary to be in a state of grace to get an answer to prayer. Further, God desires to answer our prayer much more than we desire to make it. We tap very gently, and because the door is not at once opened, we go away and think union with God refused us. Where has God said He will only hear the prayers of holy people? "

I’m not approaching prayer for my mother as tapping God’s willingness. For some reason, I’m feeling like I’m desperately banging on a door that He won’t open. I don’t know if it’s my fear that’s leading me to feel this way. I don’t want to feel this way. I’m ashamed that I feel this way. I don’t know how to overcome it.

It may feel like the door is closed Denise, but God will never desert you, I spent many weeks and months banging on his door, he definately hears you. Don’t ever feel bad, you just don’t want to loose your Mum and that is totally understandable–You and your Mother are in my prayers.

A PRAYER TO ST PEREGRINE

Dear St Peregrine I need your help.
I feel so uncertain of my life right now.
Serious illness [for myself, family, friends] shakes my faith
in God. Help me to imitate your enduring faith when
you faced the ugliness of cancer and surgery. Allow me to trust the
Lord the way you did in this moment of distress.

I want to be cured but right now I ask God for the strength
to bear the cross in my life. I ask for the grace not to despair.
I seek the power to proclaim God’s presence in my life
despite the hardship, anguish and fear I now experience.

Oh glorious St Peregrine be an inspiration to me and
petitioner of these needed graces from our loving Father.
Amen

O blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you: Look
with compassion upon all who through addiction, mental illness, and anxiety have lost
their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of
your unfailing mercy; remove from them the fears that beset
them; strengthen them in the work of their recovery; and to
those who care for them, give patient understanding and
persevering love. Amen.

Thank you! My mom continues to do well mentally, physically, and spiritually. I’m feeling a lot better than I did a couple of days ago. The prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayer intentions. It means a great deal to us!

That’s great Denise, I will continue to keep you both in my prayers and I will also take your prayer intentions to our prayer group this afternoon.

Gods Blessings on you both.

Thank you Aussiegal, and God’s Blessings to you and your family as well!

Blessed are you, loving Father,
Ruler of the universe.
You have given us Your Son as Your Leader,
And have made us temples of Your Holy Spirit.
Fill this family with Your light and peace.
Have mercy on all who suffer,
And bring us to everlasting joy with You.
Father,
We bless Your Name for ever and ever.
Amen.

O Blessed Archangel Gabriel, we beseech thee,
do thou intercede for us at the throne of divine Mercy
in our present necessities, that as thou didst announce to Mary
the mystery of the Incarnation, so through thy prayers
and patronage in heaven we may obtain the benefits of the same,
and sing the praise of God forever in the land of the living.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit
Amen
