Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Holy Mary,
help those in need,
give strength to the weak,
comfort the sorrowful,
pray for God’s people,
assist the clergy,
intercede for religious.
May all who seek your help
experience your unfailing protection.
Amen.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love’s sake.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Continued prayers for you and your Mum Denise–will take your intentions to our prayer meeting tomorrow.

Jesus, we trust in you.

Dear Denise,

Your post caught my attention because I too have been suffering from extreme anxiety recently, although it is more difficult for me to point to any one thing that might be causing it, although my mother did just have breast cancer, and my father has been battling with depression.

I have been sleeping poorly, lack appetite, and sometimes have inexplicable strong rushes of fear during the day. I try to place all my trust in God, but sometimes it is difficult to pray, just as you notes in an earlier I am sure that things are not as bad as they may seem, and yet the fear still hounds me, and the fear seems to feed the fear.

Have you sought out therapy at all? Has it helped? What about anti-anxiety medications? Have they been helpful? Are you able to sleep any better now than at the beginning? Do you have an appetite? This is an unusual episode in my life, and sometimes suffering people can learn from one another.

I will continue to pray for you, and ask if possible if you could say a little prayer for me.

With love in Christ,

Chateau16
