So, I’ve been out of town for work all week, and flew home yesterday. I caught a cold while traveling, and felt awful when I drug myself into the house last night after a draining day of airports and airplanes…

And, yes, my rock star DH had baked me a cake for Valentine’s. Not just any cake… he made a cake by taking a square 8" pan and a round 8" pan, baking the cake, then cutting the round cake in half to form the pieces into a heart shaped cake with chocolate frosting and a “Happy Valentine’s Day” piped in red icing.

Yep, he’s a keeper.

Awwww - that is so sweet!!

I’m in bed sick all day today with bronchitis today and a massive headache. My DH has been waiting on me all day, and every time he comes into the room he tells me Happy Valentines Day and snuggles me a bit.

Gotta love our wonderful sweet husbands!!! 😃

I haven’t been feeling too well this week either so my DH made me a seafood dinner from scratch today–huge crab cakes w/home made sauce, broiled scallops, and french bread garlic toast. I am stuffed. 😃

Yep, mine’s a keeper too. Happy Valentines Day everyone!!🙂 🙂
 
My DH did all the laundry - AND folded it. Then he took me out for dinner.

mine took me out for dinner after Mass–IHop destination of choice for those who have been married 40+ years, and we were probably the youngest people in there except the wait staff. but we are at the point where we order the senior dinner and split it. well every other place on the strip was jammed, but our waiter’s name was Eros, so we did okay.
 
I was really tired and irritable yesterday. And, when dh came home after volunteering all day with a 4-h building project, I pretty much took his head off four or five times.

He bit his tongue, listened to my frustrations, and made everything all right.

Today when I apologized for my spiteful tongue, he winked at me and said, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Then I must enter mine on the list too. He works from home this time of year, and I have morning sickness so he has been changing every single poopy diaper (I have 2 in diapers), taking care of everything I ask him to (including cooking stuff I might ask him to, dishwasher loading/unloading… I try to do all i can, he takes care of the rest) and spent Valentine’s grocery shopping with my two page list. I told him I was craving steak, mil came an picked me up to go to vigil Mass (dh stayed watching the kids so I wouldn’t have to deal with the with nausea at Mass, he went today), and when I got home he had set up the grill and was putting on some steaks for a nice steak dinner (he could have done them on the broiler inside but knows I am sensitive to smells now 🙂 ).
 
I love my husband! That sweet boy went out to Subway after Mass before we started our long trek home, just to bring some Subway sandwiches (a big favorite at our house) to me and the girls for lunch!

And he takes care of the toddler on the train. That is HUGE. 😃

Good for him - and for you! He deserves public recognition for sweetness! 🙂

My guy says he doesn’t celebrate “Hallmark holidays”, but he tries to go along.

He makes up for it in other ways at other times, so I no longer grumble about it. It took a little practice, though! 😉

Oh how sweet! Literally sweet, too. 😛
We haven’t celebrated yet, I had my family in from out of town, but this wed we plan to celebrate.

Good for you, 1ke…tell him he done good.👍 😃
 
Awww…sounds like there are some sweet hubbies out there! 🙂

My DH woke up early to go to a garage sale with me (even though he likes to sleep in on Saturdays). And he cleaned the bathrooms for me and helped with all the laundry and took me out for a yummy lunch. He also got me LOTS of chocolate…:love: :love: :love:
