Praise God in heaven!

You have wisely built upon your intellect, exploring the other aspect of humanity. Yet, the faith is much more than feelings. Just as we are given joy, we are guaranteed spiritual dryness and suffering. Even during those times, God is loving us by testing our faith. And, during such difficult times, allow your intellect to support your spirit; your faith, as what you have learned and come to believe, remains true eternally.

May it never, but when life seems to turn on you, know that God allows it as He has found you acceptable and thus worthy of testing.

The Holy Spirit - isn’t being discouraged or quench !

Keep up the good work !

Love these type of posts ❤️

As I read through Aquilina’s book, I can’t help but contrast it with James Talmage’s The Great Apostasy. That Talmage book has done serious damage in Mormon circles.

How does Aquilina’s book deal with the pre-Nicene Fathers who expressed beliefs outside of today’s Orthodox Christianity? (Like Justin Martyr, for example.)

What damage did Talmage’s book do in LDS circles?

I feel like the best thing from my wrestling is that I really have moved on. No bitterness, no regrets, just moving closer to God.
Something that has always amazed me - I can be standing there on the side of the road, and see someone in the middle of a spiritual journey - away from one thing and towards another - growing closer to God with every step. And then I see someone on the exact same journey, headed in exactly the opposite direction. I’ve read this exact same post from departing Catholics on LDS boards too.

Well, God bless you!

Bible quote:

‘Jesus said: ‘I am the Truth. And all who hear the Truth listen to My Voice.’

‘False shepherds will come and try to call My Sheep away, but those who are mine know My Voice.’

‘I am The Way, The Truth, and the Life.’

Interesting fact:
In Israel, in Jesus time, sheep learned to recognise their own shepherds voice,
The towns’ shepherds let the sheep mix for the day, and at the end of the day, they called their sheep and the sheep would seperate and go to their own shepherds.

Jesus said in the bible:
‘I am the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep, who when one strays, will leave the 99 safe sheep in search of the one lost sheep.’

Jesus is calling you home to the Truth Faith, that He founded 2,000 years ago at the Last Supper when He instituted the Eucharist. ☺️
