Jehovah’s Witnesses teaches that

Jesus came in the Flesh
Jesus is the Christ
They are sinners
Physical matter exists

therefore based on the definiton of antichrist as laid out in First John, Jehovah Witnesses are NOT antichrist.

How would you set this “logic” straight for a JW?

1 John 1:8-10

8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:22

22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:1-3

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

I was born raised a 3rd generation Jehovah’s Witnesses and had 33 years of weekly Watchtower lesson’s have been out since 1992 but what I remember is that they taught the abominable antiChrist was those who renounce the Watchtower (meaning me)

Of course this is twisted teaching as John clearly states the antiChrist “denies Jesus came in the flesh” neither I nor any other EXJW that I know fits this profile.

Oh,BTW if memory serves me the “man of lawlessness” in the NT is of course the Catholic church.

Cheers,Danny Haszard www.freeminds.org

Hi, I have JW’s come to my door and sometimes it’s the same ones I’ve talked with before. It would be some small miracle to get them to see the logic 😃 and I would love to know the secret that breaks the brick wall you’re usually talking to (LOL) Seriously tho, I always spend time with them when they call (if I honestly can) and you can talk/explain till you run out of fresh air and it gets you nowhere. So I sooner not argue but be friendly. I go with the reasoning that it isn’t my privilege or perogative to judge, especially not lecturing others or arguing with them but hopefully to teach by living example and being charitible and tender etc, however am always loyal and unmovable in my Catholic faith. JW’s who go door knocking always know their bible through and through and they will always quote you things pertaining to ways you might be going wrong in your faith (a different bible version to the one other Christians, including Catholics know mind) That is why I want to learn more about apologetics. I want to know my bible just as well as many JW’s know their’s. All the best in your search. Godbless and peace to all

Hi Daniel, I might be a bit slow, but I dont get what the meaning of your post is supposed to be…

Are you trying to prove that God is a Trinity?
Are you trying to say that JW’s are not anti-Christs?

or other?

The dont believe Jesus is the Son of God or that he was previously pure spirit until taking on flesh in the Christian sense, that makes them an anti-Christ movement.

Hi Catholic dude. Actually JW’s definitely believe Jesus is the son of God but they donot believe He/Jesus IS (also) God and the Holy Spirit three in one 😉
Peace.

Endless trinity debates by the Jehovah Witness apologist is a red herring distraction to complicate reader discovery of the Watchtower’s real purpose of having come into existence.

To; DECLARE CHRIST SECOND COMING IN 1914
Yes,the central CORE watchtower/Jehovah Witness dogma is a false prophecy Remember that readers.(JW’s love to talk trinity cause it’s an enigma that they can spin)
Jehovah’s Witnesses apologist use the trinity ‘quandary’ to divert and distract from the core issues

The central CORE doctrine of the Watchtower, yes the reason the Watchtower came into existence was to declare Jesus second coming in 1914.When the prophecy (derived from William Miller of 1842) failed they said that he came “invisibly”.

When I attended some bible studies with the baptists, part of it pertained to the JW and to reveal it as a cult, the biggest revalation was in how their bible was reworded, changing the meanings in many areas all together. You quoted one in that context in comparison, this clearly shows the direction they have taken it. Sure, some may know their bible, but theirs is a twisted version, after enough analysis, we discovered it indeed was demonically influenced translation wise, thus placing it into the context of anti-christ.

Those that deal with them coming to your door, understand that they are told that if they do not do so, they will go to hell. They fall into the context of 2 Timothy 3, they fit that ticket quite nicely, we have been warned about them from the word itself.
