Greetings brothers and sisters! Alas, although I might seem jovial, I feel I am far from it. Lately I feel as if I do not render the Church or the Lord Their due graces. My head feels crammed with negative, hateful, angry thoughts or if not of that kind they contain some degree of lewdness or lecherousness; I feel deplorable when I act on the latter. I just feel…like I’m not worthy to be one of Christ’s followers when I sin before Him, Our Blessed Mother, all the Angels and Saints. It hurts even more when my family praise me for being such a good Roman Catholic. I can only hope you can pray for me my friends and if you know any prayers to combat these malign thoughts, please do share. I am young still so maybe that’s why I’m experiencing these things, being seventeen and all. However, it’s best not to pick up bad habits, for they die hard.

God Bless you all.

Dear Lord please give this person peace, and right-thinking, with gentle humility and undivided heart.
Help this Your dear child with temptations, with practical distraction from temptation before it takes hold, so as to break harmful habits.

God bless you,
Pauline

In your shoes, I would expose myself more to the wider community, even if you’re afraid to do it. Your style of writing suggests that you spend far too much time enveloped in fantasy worlds and thinking about yourself. You need to air yourself out and become involved in some way.

Try to remember that no human being anywhere is worthy! “Oh Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof…” We can never do anything to become truly worthy. But, worthiness isn’t required. Neither is absolute purity of mind, soul, body, or actions. What is required is that we lovingly turn to God in all of our unworthiness and with all of our many imperfections and trust in His love and mercy. He will never abandon us. YOU CAN NEVER DO ANTHING SO BAD THAT GOD WOULD STOP LOVING YOU!

You are not worthless. Christ does not create in vain. You have a deep purpose. Pray that your eyes are opened to it.

Extract from 'The Art of Loving God' by St. Francis de Sales:
Have confidence in God’s Mercy

You ask me if a soul sensible of its own misery can go with great confidence to God. I reply that not only can the soul that knows its misery have great confidence in God, but unless it has such knowledge, the soul cannot have true confidence in Him; for it is this true knowledge and confession of our misery that brings us to God.

All of the great saints – Job, David, and the rest – began every prayer with the confession of their own misery and unworthiness. And so it is a very good thing to acknowledge ourselves to be poor, vile, abject, and unworthy to appear in the presence of God.
And I would also recommend a quick read of St Faustina’s Diary Paragraphs 1485-1489, I believe it will also really help.

When you click on the link, press Ctrl + F and then type 1485 then press Enter and go from there.

I hope this has helped

God Bless You

Thank you for reading

It’s Perfectly normal that your thoughts & Emotions are all over the place,
It happends to most of us, it’s not that we are bad natured,it’s because we’re Human,
You just need to keep a busy Social lifestyle with people around your age,
Don’t isolate yourself from people, and surround yourself with positive thinking people,

Our worth comes from God’s love. Without Him we are less than nothing; we are sinful nothings. But it is precisely in acknowledging this truth, and turning to God with trust, that we glorify His goodness, console His loving heart, overcome our fears, and find confidence, strength and joy.

Sr. Jeanne Benigne Gojos: “O God! Nothingness exalt the All! How can that be?”
Jesus: “By showing how I love this nothing.”

I have committed a number of atrocious sins. They fill me with shame. But they also remind me of how much God loves me, because He has so often drawn me from the depths of my misery and immersed me in His Precious Blood.

“Write, My Benigna, that all may know this: It is certain that a hundred sins offend Me more than one alone; but if this single sin is distrust of Me, it wounds My Heart more than the hundred others, because distrust wounds My Heart to its innermost core. I love men
so much!”

sometimes negative thoughts come from depression or anxiety. they can take on a life of their own and have much power over you. so you need to try to change your perspective about yourself and think positive. my favorite words of the Mass are BLESSED ARE THOSE CALLED TO THE SUPPER OF THE LAMB. That should make you feel so special that Jesus is inviting YOU!
I have struggled with major depression and negative thoughts and feelings of worthlessness, but I have continued going to Mass to be healed. There are some good books on spirituality - The Imitation of Christ for one. Do you subscribe to any monthly magazines like Word Among Us or Magnificat? They will help strengthen your spiritual life and your faith. God bless!

Praying for you! Don’t let guilt consume you. Have faith in the fact that our sins are forgiven!

I would suggest you thank Jesus for these feelings since you now have something real to give him that pains you so. Each trial we undergo isn’t just by mishap but is allowed so we can show our fidelity to him in spite of our contrary feelings. This is a gem he has thrown your way. Now tell him you love him and he may ask you for other favors as well and you will be happy to do it for him. This is a true sign he loves you. If he didn’t care he wouldn’t bother to ask.

God is good to us in all he does.

some times I feel the same. What did Paul say?

it is in weakness that we are strong

take it to the Lord and one step at a time.

You will never be perfect
You will never be without sin
You will never be free to demonic attack

OK?
