I just sent an e-mail to my diocese. Recently after reading “Adam and Eve After the Pill” and reflecting on the whole issue of the recent HHS mandate, it occurred to me that Humanae Vitae should be printed in the Mass bulletins. Anyone that has read Humane Vitae has seen how the predictions have certainly come true. I think if more Catholics took the time to read this they would come to understand our Church’s stance on these issues. I just sent an e-mail to my diocese asking them to consider printing the document in the bulletins with perhaps an introduction written by the Bishop to explain the document’s relevancy in today’s society and today’s politics.

I urge all of you to do the same. 🙂 It isn’t a long document and it is certainly worth reading. Our goal should be able to put this in the hands of all Mass attendees!

You must be used to thick bulletins, but I applaud your request. That is a very important document that our priest led a parish Tuesday night class on. It can be found and read in PDF format.

Haha I have been going to a pretty large parish that already has a rather large bulletin!

I think if it is formatted properly it wouldn’t take too many pages. I know it could get expensive. However, perhaps the slightly larger bulletin would make people take notice and read through it.

Seriously! We get an A4 sheet folded in half… would have to print it in 0.5pt text.
We get an A4 sheet and it is threefold. Unbelievably, ours covers two parishes. Yes, we live in the deep south Baptist belt and rural Catholic churches are small.

Again, I am behind your endeavor. If just a few families read and digest it, then it would be worth it.
