Remember, you plant the seed, but Holy Spirit is the grower. We plant the seed of faith in evangelization, but the Holy Spirit’s responsibility is to cause the seed to grow, as the seed of faith grows we are to nurture it along and help keep all the weeds out.

that is a great way to think of it,

i just got scared because i dont like looking at my faith from their point of view

Friend, I know just what you mean!

Awhile back, I was scared to read the arguments of atheists and the like. I did read them, and I never found them convincing, but they did give me some unrest.

What I can say is what God has so many times said to us: Do not be afraid! You will find, amazingly, that to every objection or proposal of the atheist, there is a conclusive Catholic answer.

As you grow in faith and especially in your relationship with Christ, you will be less afraid of the opposition.

I am on the evangelization committee in my church. Most people, unknowingly, try to take on the responsibility of the Holy Spirit. We are called to spread the “Good News” and the Spirit is the one that will bring it to fruition within the person. We are to use the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given us to nurture the growing faith. However, the Holy Spirit is the one that will bring the person to the point of nurture.

Don’t be afraid to tell a person what the Good News is about, but allow the Spirit to convince the person of the truth of what you have told them. The Spirit know how to do this perfectly.

Keeping learning and keep spreading the word! plant the seeds and thats all you need to do!

thanks guys great repsonses, i think ive been doing a really good job lately!!
