…would the Church recognize him as a baptised Christian? Just curious. Isaiah speaks of animals in the Kingdom to come.
 
Animals are not Humans. God did not make Dogs in his own likeness and image. A Dog is one of GOD’S Creatures - and blessing a Dog isnt a bad thing. But a Dog will not be judged.

Something you might be interested in - the Blesssing of Pets on the Feast of St Francis of Assissi. I believe it is in October. People bring their Animals to Church for a blessing.
 
I don’t think so, I thought only human beings could get baptized…

I think this post is spam.

Besides, it takes more than the sign of the Cross to baptize even a human.

you’re right. I’m sorry. I guess with all that the Son of God has to be grievous over in the world, ya know, murder, rape, adultery, lust, abortion, I guess it pains him for me to baptize my dog.:rolleyes:

Jesus has a sense of humor. If he read this board, obviously he would. I guess I am just one of those Catholics who knows how strong his beliefs are, relies on God’s grace for Salvation, and I don’t bet my mortgage on everything EWTN dishes out to me.

But other than that guys, hey it’s all good. VIVAT JESUS!

The Bible does not say humans are the only creatures made in God’s image.

In fact, the Bible clearly states that animals were given the “breath of life,” which in my opinion, is a tad more important than the physical vehicle that carries said spirit around on this Earth.
