I miss the bells

Some years ago, I read that burning incense is really not good for anybody.

I read a piece recently showing recent medical studies showing the obverse used at Mass helped prevent cancer. Now I must go see if I can find it again…

Always bells and incense at my TLM parish. And our church bells are rung during the elevation of both the Precious Body and Blood. Beautiful.

Recently at my parish the new parish priest started the use of incense regularly at every mass. Further the use of the bells never stopped at my parish or parishes here in South Africa.

Lastly he introduced the prayer to St Michael at the end of mass and the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be.

It’s beautiful and very reverent though I wish we also had a Tridentine mass

happens at my parish we even have the bells at daily Mass. One short ring for the epiclesis and 3 rings for each elevation.
