Hi there,

First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong area on the forum. Please feel free to move it if needed.

I need a good book explaining the differences from Eastern Catholicism and Western Catholicism. But not just the differences… also the coming about of the schism and the return of the Byzantines (and others) under the pope. So basically an overview for a Roman Catholic friend who knew little to nothing of the Eastern Catholics. Maybe even some explanation of Orthodoxy.

Thank you so much!

God Bless.

Protopresbyter Michael Pomazansky’s Orthodox Dogmatic Theology is written from the Eastern Orthodox perspective. Protopresbyter Michael Pomazansky went to seminary before the fall of Russia into communism. He is a very traditional Eastern Orthodox writer. He explains the theology of the Eastern Orthodox quite well and often contrasts it with typical Roman Catholic theology. I have read the full book and continue to quote from it to share traditional Byzantine Catholic perspectives on things.
