I need a good Gregorian chant CD, ASAP

In my experience, it isn’t too discernible for most ears. Unless one is a highfalutin audiophile, I wouldn’t worry about it. There won’t be an issues for the regular earbud-wearing listener.

And, I’d like a nice Advent/Christmas CD as well. No contemporary songs, no secular songs. Traditional Catholic hymns only. Again, I am not enamored of female voices, although I do like Danielle Rose.

You haven’t heard Gregorian chant until you’ve heard the monks of Fontgombault. You can buy this CD of chants from Christmas liturgy on the website store of the Clear Creek Monastery in Oklahoma. That way you can contribute to the monastery at the same time! There are some sound clips available as well:

Very pretty thanks for sharing. My only complaint from the sample tracks is that due to the manner in which it was recorded or mastered I find it very difficult to understand the words. Perhaps it is just me… 🤷
 
I know that this is really late in the game, but I wanted to share a resource that recommends some of the finest Gregorian Chant out there. I’ve just recently started looking into chant music and find it very calming and peaceful. I’ve also found some great and interesting history behind some of the CDs and albums that have been made. Quite interesting!

It’s nice because I’ve been able to just pull up Pandora and listen to it. 🙂 It’s nice that that are options to listen to, especially in this hectic and fast paced world. Anyways, you can find the list of gregorian chant here. I think some of those ones mentioned above have already been mentioned there as well. 👍

Also, I think there are some great YouTube videos out there with chant, but unfortunately you can take it with you like a digital download or CD in the car. 😦
