I need a good spiritual devotion to increase my faith

Hi I’m in need of a spiritual devotion or excercises to increase my faith I’m such a doubter and I over analyze everything I just want to blindly accept Gods will but I can’t I find myself begging him for things instead of accepting his will any suggestions to help me increase faith?

Say the divine mercy novena, it begins tomorrow, you start it on Good Friday so you have a bit of time to learn about it. Please read post below, there is a link there on how to say the novena.

Also do you know about the devotion Divine Mercy? Even if you fail to complete the novena, its a wonderful devotion to say that chaplets every day. It’s a good start to read St Faustina’s diary. It helped increased my faith and taught me to put my trust in God.

The Rosary has been very helpful for me along with the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

The ejaculation, “I believe…Help me with my unbelief.” Has been very helpful for me. It works for other people as well. Recently, I heard a Bishop say that he says this when he notices that he is starting to go through the motions at Mass or when praying. In my experience, God answers this brief prayer over time.

The Rosary plus Eucharistic Adoration. More frequent attendance at Mass, aim for thrice weekly. Do this and let God do the rest.

The Rosary cannot be emphasised enough.

Sounds more like humility is what is required. Humility is what Jesus talked about when he said that unless we become like little children … A little child is a picture of humility. The child trusts his parents for all his needs and questions. And the child never doubts for a moment that what they do and say is true. And the child also knows that when it is punished for something it did wrong, that his parents still love him.

The picture of St. Faustina says it, “I trust in you”. And the streams of red and white light radiating from his heart to us is the reason for our trust.

Try to develope an attitude that whatever happens he does for our good, even what we sometimes do not understand. It is in his hands, and we must let go of our control and trust in him. To see every thing in our life as looking out for us. That is the heart of the matter…letting go…thanking him for everything and knowing with confidence as a child that we are in good hands, and will always love us. Work on being childlike in your conversational prayer life too.

I would recommend Mary as the one to go to for help, for her simple humility and dependency was outstanding.

Lord Jesus I believe in you - increase my faith!

Sr. Consolata prayed the first aspiration unceasingly. Our Lord addressed these words to her: “The act of love also has value because it eliminates from the spiritual life so many Marthas, their being ‘turbaris erga plurima’ (troubled about many things).” (Lk. 10:41)

Scripture reading with a good commentary preferably in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
