I need a new hairstyle...help

*Oh no, not another hair thread. 😛 Well, here is a recent pic of me (taken last weekend), my current hairstyle.

It’s growing out from a much shorter look I had last year (that ‘posh’ look, remember that rave?) I don’t really feel like I want to go that short again, my dh would like to see me grow it long (here we go), but it’s really time consuming when long…and weights me down. He likes it this length, also, but you can’t see it in this pic, it’s shorter in the back. It’s like 3 styles in one. :rolleyes:

I like Kate Gosselin’s hairstyle-the woman from Jon and Kate Plus 8. My dh just looked at me like… :ehh: It is similar to what I had last year, hers is a bit choppier.

I feel like a need a new look–what do you think would look good on me? (can you post some pics to give me a visual) Thanks everyone.
 
oh god, that kate gosselin haircut is hideous. yuck, I don’t know why you would be looking for a male opinion, but don’t go with anything like that.
 
I like it, actually…but it’s definitely different. My dh didn’t like that style AT ALL, so that’s out…but I wonder if there is a style I can do with the current length, that will make it more versatile, I am hopeful that the ladies on here will post some pics that they think might suit me. (or pics of their hairdos) 🙂

I like your current hairstyle. It’s pretty. I don’t understand why women need new hairstyles every week or so. Men love your hair, but men love you yourself even more. External beauty is only as brilliant as the beauty of the soul; hairstyling, tattooing, and the like are all arts, and art is a reflection of the artist’s soul.
 
I haven’t seen a pic of you in…3 years.

I’m not a good judge of women’s hair, but just wanted to comment on the pic as above.

I agree…I guess some of us just get bored with status quo…and need a change up now and again, like a man growing a goatee, or beard…then in a few months shaving it off…it sort of parallels to that, I think. *

Most guys grow beards out of laziness than out of bored 😃

Oh! I know a good hairstyle for you: I don’t know the name, but it’s when you cut the hair on front off, and even out the hair on either side, so you have equal amonts on hair on the left and right sides of your head.

*Yeah, it’s called a ‘bob,’ I believe that is what you’re thinking. I have had that style for years…I could go with a layered bob. But, to have it all one length all the way around, I look like the dutchboy on those paintcans…you know what I mean? lol *

Should I keep it the length it is, grow it longer, or go shorter again? My dh liked my hair shorter, but he loves it very long…I’m sorry, I just don’t see wearing it long again. 🤷*
 
What a very pretty girl you are! I do prefer your current style. The other could be tricky to keep looking good! But… whatever! Nothing can hide the fact that you’re a beautiful looking girl with a warm, wholesome and youthful face.
And you weren’t even fishing for compliments! but you got some! 😃
 
I like your length and style.

Maybe change the bangs if you want something different, maybe longer side swept bangs.

I am not sure I like Kate’s hair. (but maybe because I think she’s a meanie :p) It might seem to severe, and if you end up not liking the back it will take a while to grow back.

Shorter.
 
Long hair is a sign of maternity, so of course guys like it 🙂

I think you should keep your hair short. But if you want to please hubby, I think you should get hubby’s opinion.

But, I have to say: the back of Kate’s head looks like a hedgehog. :o Please don’t do this to yourself. :o

*Aw, you’re such a sweetie, Trishie. :hug1: I agree, while I really like the kate look, I would probably have to live at the hairsalon…shorter styles are easier at first, but then they grow a little, and they lose their shape so quick. I really like yours by the way in your profile pic, it’s very elegant. *
 
In answer to your question, I think long hair wouldn’t suit your face as well…it just depends one whether you wish to suit your husband on the matter, and put up with the extra weight and hair care…however as you have been known to get migraines, the weight of extra hair mightn’t be helpful. 🙂

*ROFL–a hedgehog!!! :rotfl: Oh my gosh, I’m laughing out loud…for real, right now. 😃 Yeah, dh looked scared when I showed it to him. hahahaha He doesn’t really care what I choose, but that hairdo alarms him. lol *

I would keep your current style, but just a wee bit shorter.
 
I asked my hubby his opinion he likes your hair the way is…yea big help. He did :ehh: too on the Kate hair do. Not so big on the choppy part myself. I’m the wrong person to ask though, I change my hair maybe once a decade and its usually a small change.

Oh my daughter says you look pretty. 🙂
