As for hedgehogs, they are very very cute, but I’m not sure I’d care for one on top of my head 😊

I am not sure I like Kate’s hair. (but maybe because I think she’s a meanie :p) It might seem to severe, and if you end up not liking the back it will take a while to grow back.

*Okay, I think we have a winner, so glad I asked…I wouldn’t have thought this. I have seen that style…maybe a thicker bang, and swept to the side a bit, and then keep the length, or a little longer:

Sorry :o Honestly, I had never even seen her until this very thread, and I was a little :eek: startled when I saw the picture.

If you’re looking for a ‘trendy’ opinion then I’m the last person you want to ask (I don’t do trends ;)), but for what it’s worth: I really like both your current style and this one too:



And apologies to any readers out there who have an affinity for hedgehogs, hairstyles or otherwise. :o Please chalk it up to my unsophisticatedness (is that a word?) and lack of style.

Your hair looks nice, but honestly the color looks very plain, I’d suggest adding some blond to it, it would like very pretty. Yeah, highlighting your own hair can prove to be difficult if you don’t know what your doing(and even if you do it isn’t easy lol) or don’t have experience, and at a salon it’s not cheap. If you choose to go with highlights, I suggest looking around for a good deal, you can always find one if you look hard enough.

*Teen…I agree. It could be that shot though, the lighting. I have other pics that show more auburn…but, I need a new look, I agree. I am a little afraid of frying my hair, that is why I have always shyed away from highlights. I’ll have to think about that! Thanks for your insights everyone…

Mary…I like your idea about the bangs…and maybe I’ll keep the length, and add some layers…I will avoid all hedgehog looks, Morwenna…no way I could get that do now, without seeing your post in my head. :rotfl:*

I think you would look great with the long layered cartoon picture one. 😃

And Highlights? I would do them. I’ve had highlights on and off for about 10 years of different colors. They are easier on your hair than you will think. MUCH easier on your hair than a home box color! Also just that little bit of damage gives my hair much needed body. I go more blonde in the summer and then add a little red and caramel in the winter. If you go with a foil you won’t notice the growing out as much as an all over color either.

Your big picture reminds me of Gennifer Goodwin, with the new short do she had in February. In the picture, you look like you have silky shiny hair. You could go a little shorter and get a do like Victoria Beckham. (It’s a softer, less edgy version of Kate’s.) You have such lovely coloring. The dark color really makes your eyes stand out.
 
Why you need new hairstyles ?
Your current hairstyle is cute and looks great on you.
 
Sharon I offer you these two ideas. I think short hair is great on you, you have such great cheekbones something face framing is ideal. Please don’t go the Kate route, she looks like a porcupine who only flat ironed half her quills.😊🤷
