If I steal a watch (sin), do I commit another, separate sin if I merely look at the watch (it might be sin because I’m benefitting myself [figuring the time] through unjust means (stealing)?

Or do I merely remain in the state of sin as long as I don’t return the watch but I don’t commit a separate sin?

You have asked this question before and you have received an answer before. The answer is that no, looking at the watch is not a sin.

You need to stop posting these threads and get the help of a priest for your scruples. Continuing to ask these questions will not help you. It will only feed your compulsions and your need for validation about this issue. It will not help you understand sin, nor will it help you form your conscience. To continue to feed the compulsions only stunts the formation of conscience.

Seriously. Talk to a priest. Get off of the forums.

You are in my prayers.

Listen to @edward_george1. He’s absolutely right - you post about this a lot, and it’s clear your posts are not helping you. You need offline help, from a Priest and a Spiritual Director.

Please talk to someone in real life, who has the tools to help you and to help you help yourself.
