tman, porn is as addicting as drugs or alcohol. All these things affect the “pleasure center” of our brain. The more we do it, the more the brain requires to reach the same level of pleasure.

You might want to listen to a few good talks on this topic (free .mp3 audio files):

In addition to this, go to Confession as soon as possible after you’ve fallen! It’ll strengthen you and get you back on track! Also, pray the Rosary DAILY. (I don’t care if you don’t like the Rosary. Just do it!) Don’t know how to say the Rosary? Go here and download the audios and follow along:

Go to Mass daily, if you can. If not, try to make a holy hour once or twice a week before the Blessed Sacrament.

We are at war! But we aren’t fighting flesh and blood. We are fighting principalities and powers. The powers of darkness and evil. Satan and his crew. This war makes all the other wars rolled into one seem like a walk in the park! And either we fight back and win, or we suffer forever in hell! Nobody promised any of us a “tomorrow.” Every day, without exception, someone your age or younger dies suddenly, unexpectedly. They don’t just wake up that morning and say, “Oh, today I’m going to die at 1:30pm. I think I’ll go do whatever I want, have a really nice lunch, then swing by church about 1:15 and go to Confession.” No! They are taken suddenly, like a flash of lightening! Car wreck, heart attack (congenital defect, perhaps, that they knew nothing about), brain aneurism, accidental drowning or electrocution. Read the papers. It happens every day! How many of these people were prepared for their judgement?

The preferred small arms of Our Lord’s army is the Rosary. We have many weapons, though, besides that! Holy water. Blessed salt (my favorite). The Sacraments.

Don’t lay down and let him roll over you and drag you down, my friend. Get up and kick his butt!

God bless!

Jesus have mercy on Tman and help him to use practical strategies, as well as giving himself to practical acts of kindness to others, and actively living with more awareness of how he can contribute to others’ lives.
Let his life become God centred and other centred rather than self absorbed.
Please console and heal him and help him work towards living a wholesome life.

God kindly bless you. 🙂

Praying that you find a good, holy confessor/spiritual director who can help you to grow in the virtues and break free from any bothersome vices. May the Lord heal you and give you strength and patience. May you go to confession every time you fall into sin, and keep away from all occassions of sin. May you pick up the Bible every time you are tempted and keep reading until your temptation passes. You are in my prayers.

Thank you all so much!

I will pray for all of you as well!
