Hello everyone,

I was born and raised a Catholic but became “lost” I have recently started finding my way back to the faith. I have been unemployed for a little over a year and seem to be losing faith and despair once more. I feel no motivation and feel it’s getting worse.

I have started reading the Holy Bible and attending church more often as well as praying. I really need some extra help.

Thank you and God bless.

Welcome to CAF!

I am praying that the Lord increases your faith and sends you some job opportunities …

Pray for a job, and pray like you believe it’s already being delivered to you. Have faith in God, trust him in all ways, and know that you are in a stage of growth.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Short reading Malachi 3:1 ©

Look, I am going to send my messenger to prepare a way before me. And the Lord you are seeking will suddenly enter his Temple; and the angel of the covenant whom you are longing for, yes, he is coming, says the Lord of Hosts.

Short Responsory

Worship the Lord in his holy halls.
– Worship the Lord in his holy halls.
Give the Lord glory and honour.
– Worship the Lord in his holy halls.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
– Worship the Lord in his holy halls.

Thank you guys!

As I read some of the responses I couldn’t help shedding some tears.

:gopray:

Can someone also provide a good prayer that I can say on a daily basis that will give me motivation?

Loving Father thank You for drawing Your loved child back to You.
As the Father welcomed his prodigal son,
so welcome this soul back with joy and grace,
helping this person through doubts and uncertainties,
into the fullness of Sacramental life.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen
:signofcross:

In times of trial, it is difficult not to question that Jesus continues to work with us and within us. Open your heart to Him, sit silently at times and allow your soul to be healed and strengthened through His grace. He comes to us in our weakness and will carry you to your strength.

You will be in my prayers that you will find strength and courage in your trials - and a job to boot!

The Memorare

Remember O Most Gracious Virgin Mary
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection
Implored thy help or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence we fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins our Mother.
To thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate despise not our petitions,
but in they mercy hear and answer us.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
