Sadly, many Catholic are like that these days. I have several in my family as well as several protestants. I have lots of experience with this, so feel free to message me if you want to talk about anything. Before approaching my parents to talk, I tried to strengthen my faith. I read many books and the Catechism as well as asking the Holy Spirit to help me know what to say. I suggest being very open-minded and gentle when talking to her. Keep praying and don’t be discouraged. God Bless you!

Remember that the Church has the fullness of truth. Look for resources that have good, strong arguments for these teachings. The official Catholic Answers website is a good place to start (might as well, since there’s always a link to their website at the bottom of the Forums screen).
