I need help with masterbation

I am pretty young below 18 and I masterbate. I have attempted many times to quit and I can’t.many times I don’t but it’s those time that I am alone after someone leaves that I give in. I am also scared because I think it’s a moral sin and I don’t know how those are forgiven. I would appreciate any tips to help me stop. Please respond or say anything it will help and this is also my first time ever posting something

Yes, it’s a Mortal sin. Those are forgiven by going to Confession. Check your Church bulletin for a Confession schedule.

God created the human body and the desire for sexual relations

You’re not any different than the gazillion males born before and in the world today.

The desire for sex is strong. If it weren’t we in our selfishness would never pro-create to continue the species.

Just realize, that God understands and try to keep your sexual desires under control

Believe me, you will fail, but as you age, it will become easier. Not because you’re more holy, but because your biology has changed.

In all, remember, God loves his creation and you are part of His creation,

Don’t give in to despair. Pray and always seek God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Thank you very much I to both of you I just can’t go to confession because I can’t drive and my parents often can’t drive me anyways so I will wait before I get confirmation to confess
 
I’ve recently returned to this site after a long absence. There used to be a closed group here for helping to overcome masturbation. I don’t know if it still exists, but it seems that having other struggling people who understand to support your effort to stop would be helpful.
 
I know it’s not the wisest thing to talk about these type of things on the internet but I rather not tell my parents they have their own problems and if I tell them this I feel like it will only make things worse
 
When these thoughts invade your mind, break open your rosary and pray with all the saints and Mother Church to open their arms and keep you safe from your inappropriate thoughts.
 
Not exactly. It is grievous matter and is only a mortal sin if there is full consent of the will and full knowledge that it will cut you off from God ‘s grace.
 
I just feel like it will make it really awkward and I know they won’t punish me. Also what is the unforgivable sin?
 
Don’t worry about the unforgivable sin. It is a sin against the Holy Spirit. Masturbation is a sin of weakness of the flesh and far less serious.
