I need some help and prayer

Carnivorous instinct may very well have evolved later on, through the process known as MICROevolution (variation within a given species). This is not to be confused with MACROevolution, the belief that species can transform themselves over time into something else (such as apes and men). Macroevolution has never been observed, and there is strong evidence against it, despite the claims of atheists. But microevolution is a well-established fact.

Oh, and I wouldn’t go to Wikipedia to alleviate your doubts. For one, they’re known to be somewhat anti-Catholic. Also, they’re not very academically creditable (being user-edited and all). (I should know: I got points marked off of my second semester paper on the Inquisition this year for citing them. )

Thank you for your answer to my question. I was kind of thinking that maybe these plant came around after the fall of man when God cursed the ground bringing torns and thistles in existance.

I don’t understand why so many Catholics believe in evoluion, even my parish priest does. I’m trying to find a traditional priest who still believes in creation.

Maybe they’ve just never seen the evidence against it. Or maybe they just want to go with the flow, and agree with the “in” crowd. It leads to a dangerous compromise of belief, I must say.

I can easily see how the Theory (more like the “hypothesis”) of Evolution can be reconciled with Scripture, but it takes quite a stretch of the imagination to do so. Furthermore, it is extremely unscientific; all the evidence points toward Creation and Intelligent Design. The more scientists study the theory, the more they recognise its flaws (provided that they are unbiased and honest). Many atheists and/or evolutionists have converted upon doing research, such as Jay Wile (still a Protestant, sadly), or Walt Brown.

As for myself, all issues of religion and science aside, I find the concept of man being descended from apes (among other things (shudder)) wholly repulsive, to say the least.

Yes, If you look at that thread called “The Fraud of Evolution”, there are a lot of people there supporting evolution, one guy there thinks that Archaeopteryx is a transitional fossil when that was disproved years ago. I posted an article there disproving the “Dinos to Birds” theory.

That re-started my thoughts about this and got me more upset.

The amazing thing is, though, that when I got up yesterday morning, for some reason I started thinking about Richard Dawkins (I guess it was because I had recently picked up Mike Behe’s book, which quotes him a lot). This was before I received the email today, an imprtant point. I was starting to get worried, and was thinking things like “what if he’s right”, etc. and all the doubts started coming back. The situation was getting more and more hopeless, and I prayed to Our Lady to deliver me from such thoughts. Then, today, I was checking the emails and I came across one from a friend who occasionally forwards jokes and funny articles that he sees on the Web. The email was titled “A humorous poke”. I clicked on it, and lo and behold! the text of the email reads “… at Richard Dawkins, who claims there is no God and thinks he proves it empirically” followed by the link I posted further up the board. It came out of nowhere. I knew at once that my prayers had been answered. Furthermore, the email was dated yesterday, sometime after I had prayed. Providence works in wonderful ways, no?

If I repeated this story to an evolutionist, of course the answer would be that it was a coincidence. I don’t think so.

I know exactly how you feel about being in school and having these upsetting thoughts. I’ve been home-schooling since April so, I don’t have to deal with that anymore. When I was in regular school earlier this year I had finish watching Kent Hovind’s videos and had been telling everyone in science class that evolution is not a fact and it is just a hypothesis and isn’t even a theory.

Now I’ve been looking around this site and their is so much theistic evolution, it’s sad really. Now Catholics (and non-Catholic Christians) are comforming to the atheists’ philosophy.

The God of the Bible would not create man by evolution because God is loving and would not use death and suffering to bring man about.

I just get so angry when I see fellow Catholics bow down and except evolution as fact.

I’m homeschooled too, actually. What I meant was I had to deal with all the distractions in my head during the test.

The atheists act like the have so much evidence for their beliefs and then most people accept it. Creationist Christians are made out to be stupid and un-scientific while evolutionists are “so wise and intelligent”. That’s how it portrayed on TV and in other parts of the media. I just can’t stand it, it makes it seem like Christians have no credibility; I think that might be one reason I’m doubting. It feels like the evolutionists have more credibility since they’ve practically taken over mainstream science. Creation science is portrayed as psuedo-science and that kind of affects my thinking on the matter because of my vulnerable posistion and I really get depressed about this alot even when I see all the evidence against evolution or whatever else the atheists believe the thoughts return.

You’re going to be fine Dylan. Do you have to have scientific proof of what you believe in or can you just live your life?

That’s the question some can many can’t. I couldn’t.

I love my wife so much, I don’t speak with her any more about this stuff because she has an explanation and lives her life in a loving giving and alltogther good way, a way I ultimatly envy.

There’s so much dross out there, waiting to trip you up. If you know how to be what Christ would want you to be, just do that; the world will be made a better place.

If you can’t accept that kind of faith then you need to think again, the evidence against theism is overwelming. But is it evidence you want?

No, I don’t think it is. I just think it is portrayed that way.

Contrary to what evolutonist say, there is not a lot of evidence for it but, people are just fed the lie that it is a ‘‘fact’’.

As I stated in a previous post, theistic evolution completely contradicts the Bible and because the God of the Bible would not do it that way because God is loving but, evolution teaches that death and suffering brought us into the world.

The reason these thoughts continue is because of my OCD.

I accept what you are saying, however I have footage of scoober divers diving over and around the remains of bodies of men horses chariots and spears that prove that Moses did take the people over the red sea. There are two pillers that the Israelites erected to commemorate the event. I also have footage of other incidents that prove God created the earth. The evolutionists actually disprove themself each time they speak. It is not they who speak because the same way that God gives us the gift of discernment satan feeds the evolutionists with lies.

Dylon I wonder which books you are reading I think you need to get some catholic books on creation. I am at work but when I get home I will look at my books and vidios on the subject.

I have a DVD recorder and CD recorder but don’t know how I could get any of the informaton to you . I have much scientific information for instance showing seeds falling from a tree to the ground seemingly sliding along the ground, and then diging into the earth where it finds the best place for itself. This video was created by an American in the 69-70s and it shows more information that anyone would need to have to acknowledge that God created all.

If you have the footage on DVD/CD you can just rip it to your computer and email it to me. Or put it on YouTube.com.

On second thought, just tell me the name of the video, and I might be able to find it on YouTube myself.
