Hey everyone. I need some serious prayers. It seems like everything is going wrong this week. First I had that accident and now my car is in the shop, today I find out that I am no longer eligible for Medicaid and so I won’t be able to afford my medicines or anything, and I may also lose my license. I don’t know if I have lost my driver’s license yet or not because I still haven’t heard back from the prosecutor in the county where I had the accident. I don’t know what to do anymore. I am about to go nuts. I am to the point of despair now. Please pray for me. 😦

Don’t despair. God will carry you through, just lean on Him. Pray for others in this forum!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I’ll offer prayers for you, Holly, today! I hope things turn around for you soon.

From a Letter of Saint Raymond of Penyafort (1175-1275)
May the God of love and peace set your hearts at rest.
The preacher of God’s truth has told us that all who want to live righteously in Christ will suffer persecution. If he spoke the truth and did not lie, the only exception to this general statement is, I think, the person who either neglects, or does not know how, to live temperately, justly and righteously in this world.
May you never be numbered among those whose house is peaceful, quiet and free from care; those on who the Lord’s chastisement does not descend; those who live out their days in prosperity, and in the twinkling of an eye will go down to hell.
Your purity of life, your devotion, deserve and call for a reward; because you are acceptable and pleasing to God your purity of life must be made purer still, by frequent buffetings, until you attain perfect sincerity of heart. If from time to time you feel the sword falling on you with double or treble force, this also should be seen as sheer joy and the mark of love.
The two-edged sword consists in conflict without, fears within. It falls with double or treble force within, when the cunning spirit troubles the depths of your heart with guile and enticements. You have learned enough already about these kinds of warfare, or you would not have been able to enjoy peace and interior tranquility in all its beauty.
The sword falls with double and treble force externally when, without cause being given, there breaks out from within the Church persecution in spiritual matters, where wounds are more serious, especially when inflicted by friends.
This is that inevitable and blessed cross of Christ which Andrew, that manly saint, received with joyful heart: the cross in which alone we must make our boast, as Paul, God’s chosen instrument, has told us.
Look then on Jesus, the author and preserver of faith: in complete sinlessness he suffered, and at the hands of those who were his own, and was numbered among the wicked. As you drink the cup of the Lord Jesus (how glorious it is!), give thanks to the Lord, the giver of all blessings.
May the God of love and peace set your hearts at rest and speed you on your journey; may he meanwhile shelter you from disturbance by others in the hidden recesses of his love, until he brings you at last into that place of complete plentitude where you will repose forever in the vision of peace, in the security of trust and in the restful enjoyment of his riches.

Dear Holly prayers for you my friend.I am sorry things are so difficult at the moment.Life sometimes feels like that doesn’t it?You are precious to Our Blessed Lord and he loves you very much.Things will eventually come back together.I will keep you in my prayers in the meantime.Sending you hugs and warm wishes.May God bless you

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Wise words. Holly, I hope you will soon find comfort in Him.

Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help, or sought Thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of Virgins, My Mother. To Thee I come, before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but, in Thy clemency, hear and answer me. Amen.

Praying for you to persevere, Holly. May you be strong and keep faithful to the Lord who is testing your faith right now. Prove to him your faithfulness.

I think I have already disproved it. 😦 Earlier when I found out about my Medicaid, I really became angry with God and I pretty much told Him off in prayer. 😦 I am so ashamed of what I did now. :crying:

Hi everyone. I could use some more prayers. My leg is really hurting and I am getting a headache. I just took two Tylenol Arthritis. I hope it helps.

Don’t worry, Holly. You’ve repented and God understands. Sometimes our first reaction to things aren’t always the best, but we repent and just go on being faithful. I feel so bad for you but I also understand that everything God permits to happen to us is for our good. Now is the time you are being exercised in faith and are kind of forced to make your trust in God stronger. Just tell Jesus you want to trust in him if you ever find yourself lacking in trust. He’ll hear you and will give you more trust to carry on bearing your crosses. God in his goodness and providence gives us each our own special crosses to bring us closer to him and to make us into saintly people or into Saints. In the next life you will be rewarded for all your faithfulness, if you just persevere carrying your crosses with as much love and patience that you possibly can. I think of you as a loving person, Holly. Just keep patient with God, yourself and others and you’ll be able to carry your cross with better ease. You are in my daily prayers.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.
