So Im doing a persuasive essay on why the church should go back to how it did things 100 years ago and how many of the things implemented after Vatican 2 lead to where the church is today I need some sources on who did what and specific documents that allowed mass in the vernacular mass facing the people just everything that was gotten rid of basically thanks for the help

Is this a school assignment? Are you allowed to have a whole discussion board do your research for you?
If you are not nice try. If so works by the pope 100 years ago (please find his name yourself) and the documents of Vatican II would be a good start.

Research is your friend. Read the documents that came out of Vatican II
And the history of the council.
We did not get rid of the Latin Mass. We still have it.

We did get rid of a few things like praying for the ‘treacherous jews’ every Good Friday.

If you are going to argue that VatII led to the Church being where it is today, you will need to define what you mean and back it up with some good factual resources.

What year level are you in? School wise

Your research is biased. What if the Church should NOT go back?

Have you read any of the Vatican II documents?
If not, start with Lumen Gentium.
You can find them on the Vatican website.

Who has asked you to conduct this persuasive essay? Is it perhaps your own dissatisfaction with the present liturgy?

For starters, I quote from this document.
Therefore, by papal mandate the Consilium has prepared the present Instruction.
Within the document is this chapter which outlines the permissions for the vernacular. There is also documentation with regard to the altar facing the congregation in Chapter V.

XI. VERNACULAR TRANSLATIONS OF LITURGICAL TEXTS
