lifeandhope

I am desperately trying to avoid an upcoming surgery. I have a chronic sinus infection, which is so impacted that it will require surgery in a couple of weeks after my 10 day course of antibiotics. I have had a dozen hospitalizations and surgeries for brain and spinal cord tumors, pancreatic cancer (Whipple), and a prior sinus surgery (which was horribly painful). I have four brain tumors, seven spinal cord tumors, and some abdominal tumors that may at some point require surgery, so I am anxious to avoid any unnecessary procedure. However, my surgeon said barring some miracle, I’ll need the surgery before the infection spreads to the brain. Please pray with me that I can by some miracle be healed to where I don’t need the surgery at all, or at the very least it is not as painful as the last one. I am just sick over this. Thank you so much for ‘listening’.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal lifeandhope. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into lifeandhope’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for you, lifeandhope…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*

My prayers for your surgery to go smoothly or to be miraculously healed…God’s will be done. I am so sorry for all you are suffering. Jesus I am sure is very near to you.
My love in Him,

Praying for your health issues and praying the antibiotics work for your sinuses and surgery may not be required. Praying for your recovery.

Day 7 - The St. Philomena Novena

Dearest St. Philomena, your prayers are powerful because you are so close to Our Lord. Your child-like faith and devotion are an inspiration to all of the faithful. Many miracles have occurred as a result of your intercession. In your closeness to Our Lord, please lift up these my intentions in prayer…

We beg you to pray and intercede for lifeandhope, for their health and happiness…

St. Philomena, at such a young age, you gave everything to Jesus to become a consecrated virgin for the Kingdom. Giving even more, you gave your life as you suffered a martyr’s death to preserve your gift to our Lord. Pray for me, that I might have the same faith and willingness to accept God’s will no matter the cost.

Amen.

WE feel for you, your body is a MEMBER of Christ!!
1 Cor. 6:15, it is albeit a very weak and humbled mem-
ber!! May you take consolation in this fact and FACE
your problems w/ a grain of salt, lol.

Eternal God in whom mercy is endless and
the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, increase your mercy in us
that AT THE DIFFICULT moments in life, we
may not despair nor become despondent, but,
with GREAT confidence, submit to your holy
will, which is LOVE and MERCY itself!!

Praying for you…

Prayer for the Sick

Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting
health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant lifeandhope,
for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health,
he/she may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Lord:

If lifeandhope must go through this surgery,
may the surgeon (or pain management specialist)
provide enough pain medication
to keep him/her comfortable.
Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †
