I think if you are posting this and are exposing to us your brothers and sisters your fears about condemnation, it shows that you are not wanting to depart from god, there for your showing your love towards him. someetimes the closer you get to God, the closer the blasphemous thoughts come too, it happens and happened to me as well, sometimes you worry more… if i can offer you one bit of advice, try using the positive words of the bible more so to help you as opposed to the negative, it is extremely negative that someone is condemned to hell, but dont apply it to your situation, you are worrying for a soul that has already been damned, and that isnt your own, your worrying about someone who chose satan, instead of God, and worrying about it for no reason, i think your post just shows how much you do love God, remember God is for you, then who can be against you, and that if you talk to him, he will know where your heart is, i fear all the same things you do, but the saints, lived with resiliency, even throughout there sin, saint augustine was a terrible sinner, but it was his communication and belief in forgiveness that he would one day make it to heaven, the damned soul, simply chose to stay bad, in my opinion anyway, he or she didnt strive to live out in faith, God knows where we are all at, i cant judge you , its forbidden, but your post shows me positive in you, for whatever thats worth
Thankyou for your kind words, christ87:) Your thoughts have meant something deep to me, and it’s helped to set me more at ease. I’ve actually felt better about all of this last night. Something very special happened, but it was so special that I don’t even want to write it on the forum. The words of Jesus came to mind. “Tell no one about this.” Well, I don’t think He really said it to me, it was just my own thought, because I’m just that way. Sometimes when something is very special to me, I feel keeping it quiet keeps it more sacred. Thankyou again for your kind words to me. That was very nice of you to say that.🙂 And may God bless you.

Re: blasphemous thoughts, I’ve come to realize that these thoughts can have a source outside ourselves (demons). And no, I’m not seeing a demon around every corner but there’s a rule of thumb that I follow:

–If I believe these thoughts or if I take pleasure in these thoughts or some sort of self satisfaction, they are probably from me and need to be confessed.

–If these thoughts pop in from nowhere and repulse me, they’re not from me and it’s best to ignore them, no matter how numerous, and immediately flit them away like flies. I’m not responsible for these and do not need to confess them. If however they grab my curiosity and I nurture them or let them “tickle my ears”, I need to confess them.

Simple and it works, these types of thoughts have dramatically decreased since I’ve started to immediately push them away and not let them trouble my conscience.

Regarding “I never knew you”…I’ve come to realize a few things:

There are two kinds of “Faith”. The Supernatural Faith and the natural faith.

Supernatural Faith:

–We are drawn to God, we want to know Him, Love Him, Serve Him. We understand or at least accept that He does indeed Love us, each one of us, personally. It’s a relationship. We submit to Him, to His ways, to His teachings, to His Church. He is our Father, our Friend, but most of all, our Savior.

Natural Faith:

–We realize logically that there must be a God. We may accept Jesus as His Son. We may believe that God is Love and loves us all in a general way. We may accept His love for us. We may call ourselves Christians. The “relationship”, if any, is on our terms. We decide the truth, we determine the way, we our own Pope.

That’s where I think “I do not know you” may come into play, when we only have a natural faith that is self-serving and we embrace it because it makes us feel good about ourselves.
