Or am I mistaken? Will I be ‘in trouble’ for asking about it?

I doubt it. But it likely got uncharitable if they pulled it.
Ask @cawebmaster if you’re upset about it. They don’t tend to do things randomly.
No one else can answer that question.

There comes a point where you just gotta leave a discussion. Usually when the debate has come Full circle and everyone is entrenched.

Cuz I have what might be a good idea for a win-win for kneelers. It isn’t an agenda or petition or anything. Just something to think about.

Well, my idea is, you do kneelers and altar rails for the Eucharist under the appearance of bread, and about a couple feet from the end of the altar rail on either end, you have (standing outside the sanctuary) a priest or deacon, distributing Eucharist under the appearance of wine. This invites a standing position. It also limits spilling.

Thus, those who wish to kneel may kneel, those who wish to stand may stand, the whole issue of a long line with people feeling obligated to greet neighbors as they pass them is over. People will come up to the rail and wait there. And those who do not want to will be a minority, so not much of a line.

The whole issue of people receiving Eucharist even though they are in a state of mortal sin, so that no one will know, and so that they do not disrupt the line, will be over. There will be no line. People will be receiving different places, no one will be able to tell.

No one will feel they cannot kneel because others would judge them for it. It will be okay to kneel. I think we all know way more people would kneel to receive if they didn’t feel like others were going to judge them. Once it is encouraged they feel they have permission.

And “Spirit of Vatican II” types get the species of wine at every Mass - AND they do not stand out for NOT kneeling!

Everybody wins!

No, I receive under both species. I like Vatican II. I believe that Vatican II has been used to argue things that are not in there.

I am just poking a bit of fun at people who say “spirit of Vatican II” a lot.

And in fact, celiac disease and alcohol allergies is the primary reason why I am such a big proponent in my personal life of both species. Which you need to be when talking to Protestants who are thinking about conversion but who have celiac disease - which is me and my girlfriend.

So, I can say it.

The words under the “appearance of” are not necessary and are probably why everyone is misunderstanding your threads.

Why distinguish just for the act of Receiving, why not approach the Eucharist on knees. Live the deep belief espoused in receiving on the knees.

And the word “divisive” 🙂
Sorry if I sound divisive, dont mean to be…just constructive feedback.

Ah that buzzword used to suppress open discussion.
I sometimes get annoyed at some controls which are applied. But it is clear that despite reasonably wide freedoms, this site does not exist to enable discussion of any topic in any terms.
