Hail, Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
 
Praying for this devastating loss. I hope she and her husband are doing okay. Please let her know that there are many people praying for her - it may not seem like much but it may help her to cope better if she knows. God bless!
 
Loving God,

We lift up in prayer the mother and father of this lost child and ask for your mercy, strength, and the presence of your consoling Holy Spirit to be with them now. Lord, it is a great suffering in the lives of your people when the anticipation of the miracle of a child is replaced with the cold reality that the child is lost and we, in our human nature, find this one of the most challenging circumstances to deal with and accept. Please grant the family courage, strong faith, and hope in your divine providence. Please do not let this event challenge the family unit, but rather bless the family and bring them closer together as a result of this trial. May all who provide support and share the grief with the family be compassionate and caring, and may the love of the caring people provide some help for the family members who have lost this child. Lord, we also pray that you will bring this dear child to the special place in your house that is prepared for him/her and may the family come to understand that one of their members is waiting patiently for their arrival with You.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who loves all the children of the world, and who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

lead us, who grieve at this untimely death,

which brought your only Son Jesus

their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for this child and family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
